Yeah I've got a yellow one, although its arguably a darker shade of brown at the moment. there's been a few people on here running a vrs and gti in the past. I had a set of handles painted months ago but just haven't been bothered to fit them. Taking all the door cards off smells like effort.

Give it a good thump on the outer edge of the wheel then again on the opposite side and alternate. It should work it's way off.

A few years ago there was a topic asking people's opinions on 17s on a Gti. The general consensus was it depended on the style of wheel. Are people's thoughts still the same?

mk4, 5, 6 Golf, Polo, Audi - most of the VAG gearknobs will fit. The steering wheels are a little more difficult as the newer stuff needs a little modding but plenty have done it.

ebay is your best bet. I think the mk3 golf, 6n polo and ibiza all use the same but check the part numbers as there are different versions.

Is it the ribbon coming from the slip ring? If so, I'd just get a new one from eBay.

Finally got round to removing the Schmidts a couple of weeks ago so we're now back on the Bathursts for the winter. It's a little close getting out of our estate. The schmidts are also up for sale (Ad in the Classified section)
