  1. Think they are having some christmas sales soon. Problem is because there based in ireland the postage is a killer but i will be picking some bits up at shows next year. Check out autofinesse, there stuff is really nice too
  2. I have a sample pot of wax. Its pretty good stuff, not the easiest to use but leaves a nice finish very glossy. Unlike most waxes you leave this one on for 30mins. There quick detailer is very nice. Natural wax in it aswell so it adds a little bit of protection. Spoke to the guys at edition this year, real nice guys. Home made products hand poured wax etc. all good stuff!
  3. I still have my mk2, its in the garage, put an 2.0 16v abf engine in it last year which i had done a little bit of work on and she runs nice now. The mk2 is unlike any other car, such character! The turbines should look sweet on yours! Get them sealed up so there not such a nightmare to keep clean
  4. Delete non offensive opinions on a public forum? Nice one
  5. Where have my posts gone??
  6. So yer buy Piers' Gti and pocket the rest of your money for tweeks.
  7. That was wayy back when i was 19 or 20 . I went on to own various nice cars and spent a fortune. Recently sold up them in favour of a house and a mk2 golf and ive just got another lupo Gti as my daily. That first Gti ended up getting traded in againsed a mk5 Jetta Tfsi and i got a shockingly low price for it. Had no issues selling the turbines though, they were mint! Needed spacers badly though.
  8. Didn't mean your Gti Pete, i ment the one posted up for £5k. Oops
  9. You need to get some heat into the compound to get it to stick to the mop. Not the best of jobs but guess its satisfying when done
  10. Thats overpriced! You can get a decent Gti for £3K. I'd rather have one with high miles, spend 2K on an engine rebuild with a few tweeks and do all the bushes, you will end up with a far better car.
  11. I have a 123d and a lupo gti. The gti is more fun to drive. Not all about speed!
  12. Well i have finished a nice thorough service on my Gti after just taking ownership but come to do the fuel filter and for the life of me i can't get the clips undone. They appear to be a circular type clip where you have to press a flat section in, i did that then i pulled, twisted and shouted at it but the pipe wouldn;t come off. Anyone got any tips?
  13. Yer similar apart from being totally different! Pretty much ever body panel is different. Just save up and buy a Gti, unless you do a million miles a year you won't regret it.
