  1. Both the 1.4 S 75bhp and 1.4 Sport 100bhp's are 16v.
  2. "An adapter or adaptor[1] is a device that converts attributes of one device or system to those of an otherwise incompatible device or system. [1] Both spellings are used in both British and American English. "Macmillan English Dictionary". Macmillan Publishers Limited. 2010. Retrieved 2010-04-14. "adapter noun [countable] /əˈdæptə®/ or adaptor an object that allows you to connect two pieces of equipment of different types or sizes." I always write adapter, and I think Rich picked up on it before so I looked it up.
  3. Thanks. I was a bit gutted when the tuktuk driver dropped us off there. He said it was the best spot for sunrise, but obviously it's a bit away from it, the temple is fairly small in the photo. But after seeing the millions and millions of people coming away from there with cameras and tripods straight after the sun had risen it made sense. And we got there at 4:30am! Would have never got anywhere near the famous 'reflecting lake' for sunrise. I got one a bit later though.
  4. Sunrise over Angkor Wat, Siem Reap, Cambodia. Angkor Wat Sunrise by Philplop, on Flickr
  5. Nice shot. Where is it? Finally sorting through a few photos from my backpacking trip round Southeast Asia. Wish I had my big camera with me, but I'd have hated to have carried it everywhere! My whole rucksack only weighed 9kg, probably would have quadrupled it with some camera gear! I took a Panasonic bridge camera. Pretty impressed with it. Anyway, here's one from Koh Phangan, Thailand. 6. Only do it if you want the wheels for yourself. You won't make money once you've bought tyres for them.
  7. I've seen one done with a standard lupo 3 bar debadged grille that had been made to fit. It didn't cover up all of the clip holes on a GTI, and doesn't match up with the lower mesh, so doesn't really suit it, IMO.
  8. I've only ever seen two. Blackrat's, which was a lower grille cut down, still having the rough edges. And Linz's above, which was made using two or three grilles and plastic welded together, which took an absolute age. Nothing else will fit.
  9. Taadaaa, or however it's spelt, with the green track GTI is on with making one at the minute.
  10. Doesn't it go on the trailers capable weight though, rather than the actual weight that's on it? So if the trailer was rated to carry a tonne then you wouldn't be able to tow it with a lupo anyway, even if it was empty. Or that could be gonads. But I have read it somewhere.
  11. Doesn't look too clever to me. You're putting all the force onto a small point under the adjuster, rather than it being spread evenly around the full shock. You can probably do it and have no problems, but I wouldn't risk it.
  12. I ran 20mm spacers and 20mm adapters for a while with no issues. And stretched 165/40/16 Nankangs, just for extra death. They were both bolt-on style. I'd want hubcentric if there was no hub lip poking through.
  13. Ray is an idiot, he'll never get it back together again.
  14. I'm also in the camp that thinks the ruling is ridiculous. It goes on statistics. Nothing discriminatory about it. And one day, if you all play your cards right, you'll have a girlfriend a wife, and all the insurance costs will come out of the same pot, so you'll be paying more in total anyway.
  15. I tried that. Had one offer of £1200 and that was it. I think it's just the kind of car you have to be patient with. They are easily worth it and sought after, just need to wait for the right person.
  16. Nobody would buy mine either. I think it's because everyone is gay.
  17. I chose a smaller g-shock because of my little wrists. Some of them are massive. You should definitely buy one though. They are the new cool kids watch (after Seamasters). Mines a G-100, something like 42mm I think. Only cheap, too. Have seen them as low as £35.
  18. 17 days left Ray! In Bali now, then Lombok, Gili islands, then 3 nights in Singapore before home! Was just tempted half an hour ago for a new watch. The lad in the market said £1.30 for sunglasses and I thought he said watches too. Couldn't be arsed with the hassle, once you look at one stall everybody else does your head in trying to sell you the same thing that you've just bought. I did treat myself to this for a travelling watch though. I love it. Been scuba diving with it and everything. Wanted something for mountain biking and things too. Glad to hear you've gone with your heart on this one, too.
  19. I would turn a good car down over the colour. My dad always say's I'm an idiot for it though. If you don't wait for the exact one you wanted you're likely to wish you had. Saying that, I wanted a silver lupo then bought a red one, and was glad I did.
  20. I think he rocks a Seamaster like all the other cool kids.
  21. It should be on the inside of the fuel flap, it doesn't matter on the tyre size too much. 33psi is usually about right.
  22. They stop the main spring from going loose when the car is jacked up, because if they wobble about then it would fail an MOT.
  23. I like it. Would really like to see 4WD on it though, like the Panda.
  24. It's a long comic strip, about how scroll bars are brilliant.
