Id leave the fog inserts in carbon personally, will look good against the green, also how do you manage to keep the carbon pattern unstretched/warped on the speedo surround, surely you have to heat and stretch it loads to get rid of the creases?

second hand ones should be easy enough to come by, and I don't know about new mate you'll have to look but they're a damn side cheaper than that!

if its low to the point that its hitting your chassis then thats why it will be breaking, you need a chassis notch...

you can pretty much bottom out any coilover setup on standard steel/tyre combo, I can with mine anyway. so in short, low enough.

Just any you like its your car just stay away from halfords haah, clubpolo's traders section usually has a lot of sets floating about and its a very active board and re bumpers, just needs the texture sanding back, plenty of people on here have colour coded bottom halves

mine does it and its a 2002 1.4 petrol haah, had recent clutch done though so I'm guessing its mounts because I can guarantee mine haven't been changed, vibration is really slight though, you're probably noticing it more than usual because you're constantly thinking about it same symptoms, rev to 1k (mine idles between 800-900rpm) and it feels like the engine isn't even running

GTI spoilers are hard to come by and I'm not 100% if you need to drill holes into your bootlid to fit or not no idea on tow bar best to go for 14-15s IMO as 13s are too small and 16s look too big, plenty of options for that price range just whatever you like offsets 25-35 depending on width, tyres anything 45 profile best mid range kits for everyday (non track) use would probably be FK silverlines or APs - both around the £400 mark, not worth getting cheap ones as the ride is unbearable, obviously you can get more expensive kits but since its a 1.0 you probably wont be flying around in it so dont need improved handling bumpers are fine to paint, no need to buy new ones, unless you want to keep them to put it back to standard for whatever reason.

Are you doing the bottom halves of the bumpers?

Even with 165/50s and a load of camber you might struggle to get them in

I wouldnt bother paying for a refurb on wheels that old I've been in chris' car when he had the wheels on and it drove fine, not even the slightest judder, didn't notice there was a flat spot on them though so may have been done by guy who sold them to you?

the windows are on mounts behind the rails that they move up and down on, you might not beable to see them but you can feel them, basically theyre really badly designed and might have popped off the mount as theyre simply slot onto the mounts and arent really fastened on with anything, my mates passenger side had done it on one side causing the window to go up on a slant and get stuck, and all you need to do is pop it back on and its fixed, at least his was

try admiral mate and put both your parents on the policy as named drivers should be a lot cheaper than £4k

hire an arch roller, £60 and you can do them just how you want them! stay clear of mallets as youll just crack/chip you paint and wont get a smooth finish
