  4. I would cleand the egr and manifold out and also the turbo (exhaust side) then put all back together and disconnect the egr vacuume pipe and block it off so it does not engage......this way you also keep the anti judder

  8. You have to get the pod set up for the ecu.....mileage differences and the immobiliser is tied in also.
  9. Yeah there is currently a 6mm spacer on rear but it catches if i put my 15mm ones on when fully loaded and cant be bothered with the hastle of rubbing or getting arches rolled.........it's practical at the moment.
  10. Cheers. They are 16x7 et35 BBS RX214 rims. It's quite a rare rim to find in 4x100
  11. They are 15" Polo GTI rims.............these are 16" RX214
  12. Well I got a set of BBS RX alloys, sold the otiginal tyres on them as they were too big and then got cleaning them up as best I could using t-cut and Meg polish in my spare time. I then fitted my spare tyre set of 195/40/16 Falken 912 tyres to them and took some pics
  13. It is not an easy job as you could F up the wheels. First the holes would need to be alloy welded up as there would not be a good base to add a 4x100 on an existing 5x100 PCD and then placed on a lath or some kind of setup get a perfect central PCD marked up..........a little out and the wobble will shake the suspension out, and will drive like the flintstones car LOL Get adapters depending on the offset of the wheel you want to fit
  14. Badge. But all GTI's to my knowledge were built in the Wolfburg factory.....this can be confirmed by checking the data sticker that is in the boot and also in the service book Mine will be for sale soon!

The lacquer/paint as not chance of holding onto the polished surface and they all peel eventually and gets worse in winter when water gets added to the mix...........this is why most people do not lacquer polished wheels and just buff them up once a week or so. To fix, you could slow it down by using some clear nail varnish...........no real cure
  16. The GTI does have a level sensor for the xenons. I bent mine out when I lowered her to compensate for the difference but you could et the headlights reset. My method worked for me and don't have issues with the headlights point skyward
  17. B pillars on the GTI are riveted in and other use screws.
  18. With a decat, you really need a manifold and then custom mapping to sort the running, fuel out and light etc. You will also need the CAT for MOT time too don't forget. Steering wheel airbag...........be careful as a lot of insurance companies void your insurance due to changing the safety features. Declare it and make sure they are happy with it being removed.
  19. You can transfer the 5 door Recaro covers and foams over to the lupo frames, but will need to cut and re weld the extra support arms that the Recaro seats have. Rears are a retrim also but not too hard. Did this to mine myself a while ago and they still look great.
  20. No rubbing with 16 x 7 or 7.5 with an et of 35 and 195/40/16 I have had a few sets and are in my diary pages.
  21. 7 or 7.5 for mor stretch. Tyres need to be 195/40/16 to prevent wheel scrub on full lock and not to put the speedo out
  22. When was the fuel filter, spark plugs etc done as these as not included on a normal service and are required every two years
