Has anyone installed a boot light for the Lupo as it can get quite dark in there cool.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

Thinking of attempting this and just wondering if anyone has done it already to give tips!

Probably not the best idea in the environment - the light will flicker over every bump!

Right then..............decided to do something about this so went to scappy and got the drivers side boot panel out of the GTI there while the car is still about.

Also got a golf boot light with plug and a saxo boot switch with its plug:

light2.JPG border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="IPB Image" />

Then marked the hole I need to cut out on the back of the panel (48mm x 20mm)

light3.JPG border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="IPB Image" />

Cut the hole out:

light5.JPG border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="IPB Image" />

light6.JPG border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="IPB Image" />

Will wire the rest up later on in the week.

It would be easier to tap into the existing circuit from the switch on the the door lock

I'l try to find the diagram again

here under central locking link page 39/4

F124 is the switch that you can tap into to work the light if its fused at the supply end.

Well I finished wiring it all up and it works a treat. I have not had a chance to take pics but will do so soon.

I had to re-position the light unit on the final production as did not realise that it was going to hit the rear seat belt housing..........but all is fine and perfect on the final item. Thank god I practiced on the a spare panel.

All I can say is......................I HAVE A BOOT LIGHT!!!!!

Well done for inspiring me to do it. biggrin.gif style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

I used a saxo switch and a light for a daewoo, Which was very similar to a Audi one i also found.
