  9. definately retrims, i am pretty sure leather seats on normal lupos (non gti's) were solid in colour and just like our cloth seats trimmed, like the ones in adamk's 16v and its doubtful arosas would be any different, if they ever did get a leather option.
  10. its nice robert, i was looking at getting this bumper but decided to go custom, get it lowered and it will look sick style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> and wooo another black mk1 style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  11. miss me? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wave.gif" />
  12. you can get flat subs (a couple of inches deep and small magnet) low power but in a fibreglass box it does the job. the first picture i could imagine that it wont be as clear will all the sound coming from such a low postion, none of it directional and not very small sound stage (similar to if you only had coxial speakers in the door (all ber them very powerful clean ones!) SQ is so hard to stay with unless youy do a budget class, and even then a lifetime experience of creating systems cant teach you perfect sound staging and set up, good luck to him!
  13. lol fair enough, looks neat, probs sounds a bit too muffled though! I would say subs under the seat are a better idea or boot which is ideal to fill the rear. I saw a really dodgy looking lupo install, let me find it. edit: cant find it but i did fint this one- border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" />
  14. free air or have you boxed the door style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> , doesn't the rear of the car sound empty?
  15. nice install but unless you have the door open isnt the sound stage very low? like the mids going into the side of the seats, personally i would have placed the 6 inch in the original position and placed the smaller mid and the tweeter higher up and more spread out to give a better effect, clean install tho, good old genny eh!
  16. if you want bass but dont want to lose space there are other options, a 12 or 10 inch sub (preferably free air and alolt of sound deadening required) in the spare wheel well, which will give you a nice bit of punch, obviously you can go smaller but the will have less punch, wont go as low cleanly and wont take as much power, but possible is a set of thin 8inch subs or some 6 inch midrange subs, mounted in a box under each or one of the front seats, it will take some work to find something that fits but at the end of the day nothing is impossible, and if you want a better sound rather than rear speakers you would be better off getting a set of two way 6.5 inch components or if you have the money and time to set them up correctly - 3 way components, 6.5inch in the door 3 or 4 inch in the dash and tweeters custom mounted by the mirror mounts (aimed as suggested by the maufactoror to get the best sound) to get the most out of the speakers you would have to use a good quality amp (the distortion from most headunits internal amps, even expesive ones mean you are never going to be as good as a proper a/b class amp) and then money permitting you could place speakers in the rear cards but i think that you would have to fibreglass them to make them more directional towards the front occupants and you need to set them up right to have the right timing and levels to not over power the front. The front sound stage is most important, and what size sub you use is very much dependant on what taste you have in music. End of the day you want something which will match your tastes, needs and wallet!
