James_VW
I'm after some new h4 headlight bulbs... Just wondering if anybody has any reviews/experience with them. Found some led type ones http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252508998726 And these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301875491080 Not bothered about xenon's type styles as would be illegal

Skezza
The second pair are junk. Any of those yellow bulbs with blue tints tend to put out an awful amount of light. The LED ones will be fine but can't vouch for their longevity.

mk2
has anyone else noticed that the cabling to the headlight bulbs is as thin as thread? i bet uprated cable running 150/95W halogens would be quite effective...

If I could be bothered I’d do you a cable carrying capacity calculation... would need to know where it’s fed from in the thin stuff as to difficulty of replacing it with thicker cable... Seems viable though.

mattarosa
Erm not really. So what we’re looking at is a relay set up. Where does the feed come from? Where is my cheap Chinese schematic?
Rich
for your simplicity: turn light on normally which sends 12v. gate opens on relay feeding a direct battery feed (alternator ideally) to the headlight bulb making sure it gets full voltage. Rich
via a relay..... if you were a man then you would have a mk2 and you would know of such things. instead you are but a boy.
mattarosa
Can’t fit all my tools in a mk2, if you were a man you would need a van but you’re not
Rich
remember the Tt? If you were a man you could male whatever tools you really need fit. plus you could do all jobs with a pair of vice grips. clearly you have too much space if you can carry a whole costume.
