Fob163
some people measure from the top of the arch down, but i find it easier to measure from the bottom of my spring, to the bottom of the thread on my coilies, however then when people ask how low i am i say 'i've got 30mm left' which sounds stupid.whats the standard height so i can find out exactly how low mine is?thanks
veedubdub
well coilies tend te be around 110 mm so if you take 30 mm away it means your 70mm down

Mike_M
Car level.Measure before (centre of wheel to arch lip) and then measure after the same way to get an accurate reading for your car.
veedubdub
no worries its not accurate but you get the idea
Pete
Find a standard model the same as your car, measure the skirt to the floor in mm, then measure yours also in mm, and then subtract the difference. If it adds up to 100mm or lower you're doing it wrong.
Fob163
thanks guys! i reckon im about 65-80mm down but il check against a standard one (if i can find any!)
Koop
I meant to measure the ride height of my S before I sold it because of questions like this. Forgot.
Silver!
Depending on use and parts used "suspension settle" will differ between every car. I've seen 2 standard cars sitting side by side, with about 10mm difference in their ride height. So you can only really measure it against your own; before lowering takes place. Plus for a few reasons suspension will settle very slightly different in all corners of the car.I find best to do a decent home attempt, is to get as flat a ground as possible, measure from the centre of the wheel to the top of your arch and do the same on the opposite side at the same point. If you adjust any height, drive round a bit and do the same again till you're happy Edited April 16, 2012 by DaddyC
