LupoJas
Just put on a set of alleycats on my lupo, i had to put on 5mm spacers to make them fit over the brake callipers. Only prob is that tyre tread does stick out of arches which is illegal. Anything I can do?? :/
Kez1990
roll and pull the arches fella or camber

LupoJas
Oh i did think i might have to take them off. Only just got them as well So how do i know what to look out for if i get new wheels so the same thing doesn't happen again?Yeh you will need spacers because mine hit the brake callipers. vdublo
just add camber mate a few people on here have done it without trouble
scotty_82
This means nothing without specs of the wheels and tyres or pictures
DarkStryder360
Keep the wheels, and make them fit legally. Would get a lot more Lupo points off people for doing so.
vdublo
sorry to hijack, DarkStryder you run 13's reckon a 4mm spacer would be suitable for the fronts?
LupoJas
I just dont want to have to roll the arches. Camber kit i could maybe.
DarkStryder360
sorry to hijack, DarkStryder you run 13's reckon a 4mm spacer would be suitable for the fronts?Depends what wheels, what size, what Lupo you have, Sports are hard to find 13's for, normal 1.4E's etc you would possibly need spacers. I had to put 5mm on the fronts. anyway..If you can get the arches done right and looks like normal. Would be awesome.
vdublo
getting the arches tapped up, don't think i'll be able to 'push' them out much. and will add some camber should be alright! good luck LupoJas!
LupoJas
Yeh lol I will have a think. :/
puggled
Got a daylight pic? The fronts look like they'll struggle, is there much stretch on the tyres? Hard to see in that pic.Do you need the full 5mm of the spacer? Would a 3mm one still work?
LupoJas
I will do a daylight pic in a bit but yeh it needs 5mm coz it doesnt fit over brake calliper otherwise :/

JoeA
Either do what rich said, or get more tyre stretch.
Koop
Aye that's good thinking, gotta love angle grinders Worth looking at stretch 'n' camber, so long as the top of the tyre's flush with the arch you shouldn't get pulled
Rich
Camber will kill tyres and drive like crap in the wet (seriously)Smaller spacers and some extreme grinding will take care of a lot of the problem.Alleycats are 13s ? Buy the Tarantulas Heartagram has up for sale and chuck the tyres on these. They also look to stick out the back too. It's no fun getting pulled for having tyres sticking out, if you're lucky they'll let you drive away but then you have seven says to sort it and get a ticket stamped by an MOT station.Be sensible kids, function over fashion in some respects. Rich
That's completely different.Flame throwers are safe if they're in responsible hands.
scotty_82
When i say flame throwers i really mean aerosols with the straw in and using a burning map of ipswich as the ignition
Koop
I'm not sure it's possible to be responsible about that tbh haha
