pro3mark
30-60, could probably have done more, probably did less.
Nicki
I've had about 30 miles out of mine - didn't fancy pushing my luck any more than that. It would've been less if the first petrol station I went to had been open.
99hjhm
I was going to start this topic, didn't want the usual "Use the search function!" (which I had)Got 30 out of mine easily, could have probably done more, needle was just above zero still.
pro3mark
Yeah, I usually filled up once the light came on, but would never worry about doing 30 miles.

Silver!
I wish I had answered quicker, but it really depends which light you're talking about.I tend not to run too far on the "fuel low" light and generally fill up around 1/4 tank. Defcon5
What other fuel related light is there?
cafcross
Mark and Dan told me I'd get home from Lakeside to Ashford (50 miles-ish) easily when my light came on. I decided not to try!
b-dub
mine will do 30 on vapours......1.4tdi
pro3mark
Haha, you would have been fine, 65 on the motorway, and it was cold, cleaner combustion, haha.
Silver!
What other fuel related light is there?None as far as I am aware, but he didn't say "fuel related light" he said "light".Therefore if you have a full tank and switch on your interior light you could go for 300 miles with the light on......OK forget it. pro3mark
I'd like to see him fill up everytime the interior light comes on

toblask
Ha ha folks I don't think filling up when the interior light comes on is a particularly good idea!Obviously I meant the low fuel light. Good response though folks. Thanks! Tom
DanSN117
^ lol, lucky you didnt get a ticket!Ive done 40, but then I wussed out and filled up againHe stopped, pulled over, and asked what the issue was, i explained what had happened, that i had been following the father figure and was trying to get to the next services. He went into the back of the meat waggon, pulled out a tow rope and asked me and the Mrs to jump into the car whilst the other bloke got into my car and drove (his only instruction was for my Girlfriend not to eat his slice of cheesecake.)He towed us to the next services and then left us too it, i filled up, rejoined the motorway, and 2 minutes later i see him towing another VW for the same reason, a little beep and a wave and we went on our merry way.First nice police officer i have ever met.
