hunid-brake
Hi all i finally got all the parts for my car together and had most of the work done now, ive got a 2003 Reflex Silver Gti with now 29k on the clock. Ive added the red gti piping round the front grill and sprayed both vw badges black. The front however has had the internal parts sprayed red to match the theme on the car. I then got private plates made as my name is Hywel, my number plate reads HII YWL. I got a red border put round the number plates when they made them with "i hate speed cameras" put in the middle in small red text, i know its a bit kev like but i do have a little bit of chav in me . I then got a Janspeed cat back exhaust put on and finally today got my KW V1 Inox coilovers fitted. The whole car was then detailed and is looking sweet. Ive also taken my bathursts off for refurbing at some point, and put some cheap Dezent Motion rims on with toyo proxes all round. I also know people will hate these but i really like em and make great winter wheels. Now i was hoping to have my AST solid topmounts fitted that i got from KAM Racing but unfortunately there seems to be a problem. They wont fit on. There isnt enough thread on the front coilovers to go through even after removing rubber seals. The topmounts will only go on about 3 threads and im not happy that this is sufficient to be safe. So i will be in contact with Kam Racing to find out what the deal is as i know a couple of other people were thinking about buying these.Anyway i only got the car back this afternoon and could only take a couple pics with my iphone so here it is:The back is going to be lowered a further 10mm on friday comingThe front i can only just get a finger in between the wheel and the arch but there is no knocking or rubbing on full lock.I must add how amazing these coilovers are. On the carriageway it was a little up and down bouncy but this is to be expected (and the road is poo) but as for absorbing drains and pot holes i was very pleasantly surprised at how well they cope. Possibly even sweeter than standard suspension. there is zero to no body roll and when you put ya foot down the front end barely rises at all. Highly recommended if you can afford them.I will put more pics up when the weather is nice and ive had the interior valeted. That is also immaculate as well. Well hope you guys approve, i know this theme has been done before but its what ive always wanted and finally today...... i have it Edited May 31, 2010 by hunid-brake

hunid-brake
Looking good! About time you made a thread on it! Wheels dont look too bad!... and like you say, you really like them which is all that matters. Not high maintence either like some wheels.Yeah right thats what i wanted. Down in Cornwall on the country lanes some nice BBS' would be destroyed. These are great and for £350 including tyres i cant grumble. Will get more pics up and a video on youtube when the weather gets better. I wanna get the bathursts refurbed some crazy colour and get it ready for Plymfest (a volkswagen show in Plymouth) this may for show and shine. Only Darkstryder360 on here represented Lupos last year so thought it would be good to chuck a Gti in the mix

hunid-brake
cheers mate, how do you mean colour code the rear badge? Ive sprayed the top vw bit black and the bit behind reflex silver but its hard to see from the angles. Like i said i will be dropping it down another 10mm on the back and ill be happy. I also polished up the exhaust and got it lookin sparkling on the weekend but it sht high again as its rained. roll on summer lol

hunid-brake
thanks peeps i am more in love with it now than i ever thought possible lol. i got it detailed by a friend in his bodyshop. its not really that clean there it hasnt been polished or anything. when summer comes ill give it the full deep wax multi layered finished and it will look superb. i know its taken a long time but ive had to put it on hold till the dosh stacked up but now its almost there. ive fitted a k&n performance filter as i dont want a bmc or external set up. might remove all air piping though and make a custom cold air feed. i also wanna get some hubcentric wheel spacers put on the back too to push them out a little bit. i did think about removing the rear wiper but its my daily and i like to see if i have the 5-0 behind me if ya know what i mean . will be removing the Lupo badge so numpties dont know what it is lol. like i said, love lupos so much after my sport and now i have this im creaming. its how i always wanted it to look. the interior is unmarked too and spotless when clean but its a bit dirty at mo so will have it professionally valeted for the summer. id do it myself but i hate hoovering cars, id rather spend my hours making the outside look mint. any more suggestions welcome, thanks again
hunid-brake
also thought id add since dropping it ive had loads of attention off other road users lol. When i went to jet wash it down some bloke in his old flat bed caddy with custom paintjob caught my eye. big Cheshire smiles on us both, pulled up next to me and said "now thats a fking nice car" lol made my day. turned out he had a G60 running under the bonnet pushing 240 on the rolling road apparently. coooooool. but yeah, lots of beeps and waves from other drivers which always makes you feel good when you live in a town filled to the brim with modded saxos

dj-jay
your welcome, think its responsible low and slow driving on here, it is a wicked car, the red trim bits on grill really go with the silver to, i rec silver just makes it look that bit younger from the days of everything changing to silver, i never used to like white cars but now there are some awsome new cars in white, they look great, i wonder if anyone has ever done a pearlecent white lupo, that would be something,,,,
hunid-brake
yeah, the new ibiza cupra looks sweet in candy white, oh my god tho, my fave has to be the Seat Leon Cupra K1 09 plate:
dj-jay
its a hell of a car, i cant imagine how hard it is there days for designers to design new cars, so many looking the same these days, but the cupra is something else, think its on a golf chassy to,,,,,i could be wrong
hunid-brake
yep its the same chassis as the golf, and when you look at the asking price for these K1 Cupras they are around 18k 1 year old with 20k on the clock, pretty much the same as the golf gti but you get 40 break more, a guy said a simple remap no parts added bumped it up to 320 break. thats insane. its rarer than a gti, is built to the same VAG high standards and shouldnt depreciate badly as its a rare Cupra. soooooo tempted to buy one
DarkStryder360
Dude.... It's lowered.... !!Looking really nice ! Lower is definitely better! Guarenteed best Lupo GTi in the Weh'coontreh!
hunid-brake
lol cheers strydes. We need another little meet . I hit a rabbit on the carriageway tho and it damaged my lower front bumper. Ive ordered a new one and will be getting it sprayed and put on v soon. I just wanna get it polished up with some good wax and have it looking tip top. Then i'll be a happy boy. Hows yours? Still ok? Dunno about best in west but i havent seen another modded one down here . hopefully ill get the time off work to go Plymfest last weekend of May. hunid-brake
Dope!!!! had a bit of a bump a couple weeks ago. Some complete ring piece went to pull out at a junction, and cus nothing was coming i moved forward while looking over my shoulder to confirm it was clear. School boy error on my behalf and matey was a goon after whiplash compo. Anyway the car is in the garage now getting fixed up but my insurance has sky rocketed and i lost all my NCB Should get the car back middle of this week, im anxious as to how well the garage repairs it as im a perfectionist. Its a VAG specialist recommended by my local stealership so should be ok.
hunid-brake
nah sorry i meant the guy in front is tryin to claim for compo even tho he admitted to my insurance company his car didnt actually move forward when i hit him. He also went straight back to work the next day and he wants a grand. Im 99% sure he did it on purpose as he was in his car waitin down this secluded road and only pulled out when i drove towards him. Then further down the road and round a corner this happened. What a nob, plus it was a company car so he didnt care bout that gettin damaged. Thing is there was absolutely nothing coming so he had no reason to suddenly slam on the brakes. devo Edited May 10, 2010 by hunid-brake

Mitchell
check the bonnet they fit is aluminium, as vw are not producing anymore, if you get one you're very lucky
