Jonny GTi
Just to let you all know that I have had my spoiler replaced under warranty due to the usual bubbles in the paint. Lookers VW Northallerton are fitting it next week, trying to squeeze for a high level brake light to!
Silver!
That's interesting, VW here said no 18 months ago on a December '54 plate.May have to get in touch with VW UK.
hunid-brake
that sounds good as i have got a couple very small bubbles appearing, but no where near enough to be proper noticeable and justify me resprayin it.
Jonny GTi
They said re-spraying it would not work, it'll come straight back. And as its corroding from the inside out over, its covered by the 12 year warranty.
Silver!
My local VW said it's covered by the 3 year paint warranty, not the 12 year corrosion the same as the dodgy boot handle.
bossjohnc
Lookers have it wrong - the damage isn't actually corrosion. You've been lucky.

jon_273
Northallerton isn't that far from me, and my spoiler is bubbling..... Only thing is, I've seen some of their warranty repair work, and the quality/finish wasn't the best.Johnny GTI: did you get it repaired then? Did they do a god job?
