yerr i agree! i was looking at the new passat badges which look quite cool but there 40mm bigger, just thought if the raised bit wasnt there the passat one might fit. was also thinking about the new gti grills with the two red lines, would be a propper diy job thou lol

found this pic on here somewhere, it looks like the badge is bigger with out the raised mounting bracket thing? im lookin at doin something diffterent with my gti grill so wondered if anyone can shed light on this

thinking about gettin some wilwoods on the front of the lupo. i just have one question, will they work with my g60 discs?(brembo max 280mmx22mm) i believe i need the same kit that rally design sell for the mk2 golf. i phoned rally design today and the guy wasnt sure if they would work or not.

you can only really do that if its a track car i suppose? can't just take your indicator out. OEM jim has the best induction on here imo

thought it was time for a bit of an update, after having done nothing to the car for a couple of months i thought id treat it to some new poly rear bushes and re-paint the rear callipers while i was at it. took the rear sub frame off and was greeted by a nice bit of rust on all the welds. i treated the rust with some hammerite Krust and a bit of hammerite black spray, good as new lol. new poly bushes went in a treat when it came to refitting the brakes i found out the the damn bleed nipples had seized solid in the callipers so i took it to the garage today, got a phone call later telling me that both bleed nipples had snapped! which i half expected to be honest. got straight on ebay and ordered two new rear callipers, bloody nightmare. don't want that to happen again so iv got some stainless steel nipples on order and some braided brake hose.

so does this work with the boot button on a three button vw key fob?

im goin to attempt this soon, i bought the magnet type solenoid off ebay a while ago, only thing is i still have my rear wiper and id rather not hook up the live to that because you can end up burning stuff out. i plan to take my power from the battery, does this mean i will have to run a new wire through the boot lid and down into the boot?(gti battery is in the boot) or can i use one of the existing wires that were connected to the old removed boot handle. id much rather find a vw or audi solenoid but i don't really know what to look for, that for instance ebay solenoid been putting this off for ages, so its about time i did summit about it

you need to bend it in order to miss the sump, iv heard the the race land has a habit of cracking when its hot and water splashes on it.

there are two off the shelf options i know of, one is the Polo raceland manifold which quite a few people have on here and the other is the ashley manifold which you can get from awesome gti and its a straight fit unlike the raceland. there is a third option made by kam racing but there price might be similar to longlifes, the top two are both under 200 i believe.

just got back from a week in winterberg germany, saw quite a few lupos out there and was surprised to see that a good 50% of them were rag tops! and pretty much every lupo i saw was modified in some way. didnt see any GTI's knocking about though.
