Cat Writeoffs

Recommended Posts

Hang on a minute:

Is cat C and Cat D explanation not the wrong way around?

Surely if the repair costs exceed value, it will be a Cat C and therefore "vehicles replaced under new for old" "vehicles written off to minimise hire charges"

and cat D is Vehicles can/should be repaired as the repair costs do not exceed value.

Went out to the car to go to work yesterday to find someone had driven into it, wing/bonnet/bumper/lights....that'll be written off now then!

You'd be suprised one of my cars had suspension, sub frame, wing, bumper, grill and light all replaced and that wasn't a write off!!!

I wish more people could see this and realise that cat d cars aren't death traps which have been cut in half then stuck back together with pritt stick. Repairs cost more than is economical, wonder why so many GTi's have been written off? Go to VW parts and price up front end parts!
