oldirtybastard
Hi,reason i ask is mine seems to drink it, takes more than my mk2 vr6 did...Fuel consumption, How much does your lupo gti drink?I have to admit i only do short journeys so maybe the car doesnt get enough time to warm up,at 89.9p a litre, i spent £20 and got 100 miles out of it short journeys and a rag here and there. On motorway i get about 80-100 miles to a tenner which is a lot better.whats yours giving?Taz Edited April 21, 2006 by oldirtybastard
Adam K
i don't really do any shorter journeys, so on average i get 140-160 miles out of £20 which is a bit of normal driving and a thrash here and there.
Pozza
I normally put a tenner in (so thats about 11ltrs ish) and I normally get around 60-80 miles for that depending on my driving style.

oldirtybastard
I think its just short journeys then,by short journey to work i mean 1-2 miles mostly in rush but slowly moving traffic,Taz
Babs
220 from full to the brim to running on fumes in my sport, from mostly short journey'swent from newport to cornwall doing 60mph down the M5, and managed, from a full-up to fuel light coming on (so 7/8 of a tank) .... 300 miles!I guess the way the engines are - quite revvy, with the torque coming in high up - they take more fuel to feel like you're making progress? M1 Lupo
Yeah. I drove back from Lands End to the Midlands on a tank and a half of BP Ultimate. But that was at 70 - 90 mph.

Alfie
i do 1 mile short journeys in the week to work (lazy takes 10 minutes to walk) and then a 40 mile round trip to the grilfiends 2wice a week and average on a full tank to almost empty about 220 miles to the tank.ive seen 240 but on a long journy. my mate in his yaris gets about 300 miles to his tank but then it costs him £40 to fill up to our £25-£30 so its about the same. just you end up going to station more.on a good day you will see £35 MPG on these cars which is average but you gotta remember its a gti so you will use more, spechially if you do short journeys or drive it hard...Alfie style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="twisted.gif" />

Crusoe
talking of running costs, just be glad your not running a evo. Had a laugh and put in the details of one i was offered last month, running costs for 20k miles were more than the car was worth lol.http://www.lancerregister.com/mlr_runningcostcalculator.php
