Lewism3
Make: VW Model: Lupo 1.7 SDI MOT: 14 February 2022 TAX: n/a Engine size: 1.7 Fuel type: Diesel Description including modifications: VW Lupo 1.7 SDI Diesel 2002. The car has 92440 miles but will slowly increase. Current MOT until February 2022. Overall the car is in fantastic condition considering it’s age. These are becoming quite rare now being the diesel version. It doesn’t have a turbo but in my opinion that makes it more reliable. Easily achieves 65mpg on a steady run. Only £30 a year to tax. All tyres have good levels of tread and are on original VW alloy wheels. The interior has been looked after and shows virtually no wear. The original stereo has been replaced with Sony head unit which doesn’t look out of place. This features USB, AUX, Bluetooth and a microphone for hands-free operation. There are two keys with the car along with two aftermarket key fobs for the central locking. The previous owner has spent a lot of money on the car. Gearboxes are a known weakness and both clutch and gearbox (reconditioned) were replaced 2 years ago. In the same year all brake discs, calipers, brake pads and brake servo pipe were changed. It also looks as if the rear brake drums are new. More recently the rear springs and wishbones were replaced. Cam belt was done around 25k miles ago and the exhaust has been changed at some point. Everything appears to work as it should but I must point out that the drivers window (another common issue) can be temperamental. It is usually the micro switch on the door. A spare switch is included with the car but obviously not fitted. The passenger’s side door strip is missing (see photos). Can either seek a replacement or remove the rest of the strips on the car. To be honest, I haven’t had the car very long. I’ve gone from a VW Golf to this smaller Lupo but it’s simply too small for me. I still have the Golf which has the same engine and this has covered 242k miles, so the Lupo should have many more miles left in it. I’m not a car trader but just someone who wants to get their money back. Any inspection is more than welcome. I think serious buyers will not be disappointed and can drive away with nearly a full tank of diesel! I've noticed the photos make it look like the paint has faded, in fact it's actually really good. Skezza
For those looking, if I was looking for a Lupo, I'd buy this on the spot. Issues are easy to fix SDI engines can run on egg fried rice and never die. 30 quid tax.
mk2
Yeah, i'll second that, although mine prefer a good chicken madras for smoothest operation. I now have 3 SDIs 🙄

weslangdon
Colour will always be a problem though, more cat sick than hearing aid beige, but not nice and expensive to fix

It invites you to bite into it and taste what it’s made of. 🤪
