Pete
First question is always gonna be this. Why?
Lazzaro99
Simple! to have more power?
Rich
the only reason why.
Sausage
1749vb is a good match with right injectors and FMIC and obviously a map, if you have those and run out of power with it you must be up near 200hp? You need to be on 4 pot flywheel for clutches as well. You can go bigger but will be more laggy.
mk2
you need to do more than just increase air throughput... if you throw more fuel in, with everything else stock to generate lots of black smoke, you'll get a fair bit more power, without even getting your hands dirty
Lazzaro99
For now they are on 150 hp In the map i gave 80% of fuel I would like to give more 20% the injector is stock, the clutch has a few kilometers and for now it's fine But the problem is the pression of turbo that often changes alone from one day to the next... I think it's the fault of geometry What do you mean for FMIC?? @Sausage Your advice is always welcome!!
Sausage
Post what you have done to the engine and map (or send me the map via pm). FMIC = front mount intercooler Edited May 24, 2018 by Sausage
Rich
the lupo tdi has an fmic as standard.
Sausage
yes but it is hidden behind the bumper and not up to big power.

Sausage
Nice, how many litres is the IC core?
mk2
ooh, someone's gonna do some calcs... don't forget you can move the pressure sensor, blowoff and dump control to right next to the inlet valves. reduce down swept volumes, speed up flow, increase pressure. Mmmmm. Poweeerrrr.....
Lazzaro99
Explain yourself better, it’s interesting... @mk2 i don’t know how many liters is my IC @Sausage here we see better
mk2
go read some books... way too much to write here! good first book would be this. old, but still fresh. it cuts out a lot of the physics and maths, with just the juicy bits. "david vizard how to build horsepower". it was required reading at my college.
Lazzaro99
where should I put the pressure sensor?? I don’t have the blowoff What do you mean for the control of exhaust??
Sausage
Measure the silver core L x W x D and get the volume, ideally you need around 7 litres for 200+hp. Dont put a dump valve on a tdi. Edited May 25, 2018 by Sausage
