I'm itching to get the BBS's on. Annoyingly it's the first thing I bought after buying the Lupo 1.5 years ago and they're still not on... Brand new set of 5 never seen the road. Bought them for the Arosa, but so.d it before I fitted them. Couldn't justify spending the money on the rubber just for an "out of interest fit". if I still had them now I would put winter tyres on, but alas I sold them on. ? I'm surprised you don't use winter tyres where you live... You must have quite a bit of snow and ice this time of the year! On 14/1/2017 at 2:14 PM, callmerik said: Will do so very soon! Good, it won't make me jealous then Showing the process is also interesting... just an idea

I have a set of winter wheels and tyres on the Dune, but to be honest, the Lupo tends to stay put when theres snow and as for ice, well I just go sideways... Blue Loop
I should update this more often, it's been nearly 6 months since last time The 15th of May marked the 2nd year of ownership of the car, and I sometimes wonder why I didn't buy one of these earlier... So far and since my last update, the car has had a very small service, new spark plugs and cleaning of the leads alongside a new air filter. I'm waiting to do the oil service, having already bough the filter and the oil. After having to jumpstart the car a couple of times, it turned out the old battery was dead. I tried doing a whole charging cycle on it which didn't work at all, so in the end I had to buy a new battery . As for changes, I bought and installed a Gamma radio as the plan is to fit 8 speakers this summer. And yes, I know these were standard in the UK And now a couple pictures of a little drive I did this morning:

A big service has been done, as well as a polish to keep it shiny... and more importantly, the BBS wheels are on! Apart from a sunroof (have I ever mentioned that before? ) it's exactly as I would have bought it had I had the money when they were on sale. Safe to say I'm well chuffed of the way the car looks right now. Not much left to do to it now apart from enjoying and taking care of it. Speaking of which, I gave it a clean today and took some pictures so Rich can enjoy how rapey it is. Blue Loop
Thanks guys, glad you like it I'm pretty happy with the way the GTi is looking at the moment. I did toy with the idea of fitting a stubby mirror, but I'd rather leave it as original as possible Might give the brake calipers a lick of paint when the winter wheels go on...
Blue Loop
Update time. Winter months are usually quiet with not much happening to the Lupo. The most interesting thing that happened this winter is that the car passed it's MoT with flying colours. Gave it a good clean (mandatory over here) before and a couple of the officials commented on how good it looked. For a few months the car has been showing an intermittent EPC light on the dash. Turns out the brake pedal switch was toast even if the brake lights still worked. It was changed. Apart from that, if the car was standing for a few days it would judder around 2000rpm when accelerating which really spoilt the driving. Spark plugs were changed last year, so it couldn't be that, still ignition related. A couple of HT leads and two connectors in the coilpack had corrosion. All 4 HT leads were changed along the coilpack for new OEM items. ^ Thanks to Rich for whatsapp help and to Jon for providing the tools for the jobs So now it's all nice and pretty to be driven during the summer
