I overtook a cyclist on the way to work this morning, the car behind me hit her off her bike and the skip lorry behind that car ran her over too. She's dead for no good reason, now that's something to be sad about!

Swindon .. he he don't worry, I'm not native!

I've just hit 84k on my 51 plate SDI.... not really a worry yet

Is it too late to put my name down for a calender? Eek would love one to adorn my plain reception at work... if it's not to late could someone PM some details over to me?

Very rough guide take 21% off for Tax and NI and it works out about right, so I'd say you'll get about £790 in your pocket. PS Seriously jealous!

Ok this is a bit weird, I was wondering if anyone else's Lupo does this. The last two times I have started my car, the wiper blades have come on rapidly and stay on until i click them up to full, then down again to off. I haven't touched the stem, or left them on when I turned the ignition off. The only thing I can think is contributing to it is the cold. Has anyone else had/have this? Any idea what's happening?

Get a refund and walk away, this reads like a big situation is brewing. You are much better off retrieving your cash and buying from a trustworthy seller. By trustworthy, I mean ethical and honest in their trading, I have a feeling this will bite you in the ass. Back in my early days of eBay trading, I was conned in a similar manner.

That's a bit harsh Crusoe, even the most experienced drivers can be caught off-guard by gusts of wind... ever driven down a deserted road and had it come out of a gateway? Glad you're ok Lukus, it's upsetting being in an accident.. as long as you can walk away.. you've won.

Thanks Jon, I was curious as my gear are a little notchy and I'm nervous about pedal box TBH....

You'll need to trim that sig.... It's massive!

This might sound dumb.... Has an SDI/TDI ever suffered from pedal boxes... or is it just the petrols?

How to put in a VW single CD player? ('04 Lupo 1.4S)

I just did mine and it couldn't be easier. I had a Beta head unit, I removed it with some keys from eBay. The keys slot into the small slits on the head unit, with a wiggle and a pull, it pulls out the head unit. There is no surround to come out. In the hole you will need to put the supporting cage for your new stereo, pushing back the pins with a screwdriver so that it bites into the surround and will hold the stereo securely (just in case you break hard!). The ariel cable is standard, there were then 2 x rectangular clips, they house the speaker and live wires etc. I just unclipped this from the Beta head unit and clipped in my Kenwood cables. I only had one alteration to make, as my stereo kept losing it's settings when I turned it off. I swapped the live cable on the stereo (there were two cables in bubble separators), this rectified it. Most modern head units have the swap facility built in. Make sure you have the removal keys for your new unit handy, slide the new head unit into the cage until it is secure, add the clip on surround.... you're done. It took less than 10 minutes. -
Sounds like a fuel sensor problem, I had similar experiences to that in a non-vw car. The fuel sensor was faulty, causing a lack of fuel at low speeds. It could be worth speaking to a different VW dealer.

Red's not so bad

LMAO poor you, is it worse than an upturned plug though? That's the question!

Hi all, I joined up to have a nosey around and see what I could find out about the Loop's before I purchased one. Have to say, the GTI's look sexy! I should be picking up my 51 1.7 S SDI tonight, great looking car, can't wait to get into the VW world. Oh and I'm in Wiltshire, and a girl I'll keep my eye out for you!
