  1. have you got a sunroof?
  2. Quite a few on ebay asking a lot less than that http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2002-VOLKSWAGEN-LUPO-GTI-RED-6-SPEED-83K-FSH-/142275690283?hash=item21204abf2b:g:sZkAAOSwCU1Yn1I3
  3. as cj1; you might get 2 bikes in if you are prepared to take both back wheels off and twist the handlebars
  4. rust on the coils, had it on two tdi's
  5. rear coils are weak and often snap
  6. Only real downside with the auto is the fuel consumption, this one addresses the fuel issue but I'd guess at the loss of spare wheel space http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Lupo-AUTOMATIC-TRANSMISSION-LPG-CONVERTED-/132102554109?hash=item1ec1ed01fd:g:-ucAAOSw~AVYoYhs
  7. sorry but I haven't got any, but I have a spare set of VW teardrops if that'd suit you
  8. lots of bargain chinese made items on ebay
  9. thats not much money at all, even if it needs the gearbox reconditioning
  10. they are all the same except as Sausage has already mentioned and as they already have most bushes fitted a good deal
  11. my disc problem is vibration when braking gently but no vibration when braking hard, I've gone through two sets of discs trying to resolve this, even changed a left front caliper, but to no effect or just short term improvement, warped discs?
  12. Ok re Bathursts but that's still a small minority of the wheels on Lupo's. I think that my next move is likely to be fitting 185/60/14's the old Golf GTI size, to give a little more comfort
  13. just my pennyworth but won't the width of these ruin the handling of a Lupo/Arosa The width of the tyre affects the way the car handles, and our little cars were designed with 6" wide wheels, with every inch wider these become harder to fit into the wheel well too. Bigger tyres 15/16" tall can affect the ride quality if their profiles fall to match the increase in height, our roads are bad enough for ride quality without adding to it. Just my opinion, if its a question of style I might agree but when you weigh up the extra cost in alloys and more expensive rubber I wouldn't bother
  14. just my pennyworth but won't the width of these ruin the handling of a Lupo/Arosa
  15. these small aerials look great but the reception they provide can be poor, double din is created by removing the drink holders from below the radio/cd player slot, do this and you double the size of the slot
  16. how do you find the radio reception
  17. whether its the 75bhp or the 100bhp sport model is important because of the better brakes on the later model, these are more use than the power difference
  18. I'd have thought any red coolant should fit the bill
  19. 239mm discs that are the same as those fitted to the original Mk1 Golf GTI. Sport, TDI and GTI Lupo's have the larger 256mm discs these were fitted to the later Mk2 Golf GTI 16v models, but these need different hubs so aren't a simple upgrade
  20. this one is a decent price and has a good history too http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Lupo-1-4-TDI-Sport-2001-full-VW-history-until-2013-/201789888527?hash=item2efb9d580f:g:-xUAAOSwEzxYcKQL not sure where Bushey is though, London maybe but the car is originally from Cardiff
  21. tie string to the plug ins and drag that string through to help re feed the electrics

    Sold

a great basis for a track star or a gti engine addition
  23. this went for just £1900 on ebay, seems a bargain to me, real pity it was so far away or I'd have bid for it
  24. There's scope for quite a bit of adjustment on the wings themselves but first you need to identify the problem. If it has had a front end collision then there maybe handling and steering issues. If not then whatever damage there is is most likely superficial, a car park shunt or even banging a trolley can knock things out of alignment. Pics will help
  25. this might suit depending on where in South Wales you are https://www.gumtree.com/p/volkswagen/volkswagen-lupo-tdi-sport-1.4tdi-/1209128644
