145 bhp, not bad for an engine that can't be tuned, wouldn't have the car as a gift though, hideous
-
I've never quite understood the "bidet" removal on our cars, the wiper lies flat so what's the problem
-
Better looking than a Lupo but not quite as well made
-
If you intend using it in the winter get some black waxoyl on the underside
-
This seems to cover the basics and the interior is exceptional https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Lupo-1-6gti-conversion/124036363816?hash=item1ce124b628:g:Qs0AAOSwuEheE51Q

With an eye on economy I get 55-65 in my Arosa TDI which has been mapped to 100-105 bhp, I don't think the Lupo TDI we have is any different re economy though its markedly slower

running on red?
-
ask for the dimensions first
-
My apologies you have a Mark 1 car with the narrow upper grill, ignore me
-
The link is to a lower front grill that has no badge anyway, its the upper centre that has the SEAT badge, I've just painted mine matt black
-
These are all Audi issues, do we have any examples of these failing on our cars?
-
No idea but would guess not, is it worth doing or just being cautious, I have another TDI on 175k and its fine too
-
Do we have members cars with over 200k on the clock?
-
Passed its MOT again this year 183,000 miles and still going strong, might keep it for another year and forget going for a Fabia or a Polo 1.6 tdi
-
Hi, the boss wants a new car so I'm looking through the VW range and the 1.6tdi seems to be in quite a few VW, Skoda and SEAT's, any one got any experience of them, are they mappable and are there known faults, common sense says get a 1.9 tdi Mk 5 Golf but she thinks something newer makes more sense.🤨

Pedal boxes fail I'm afraid, new ones are better than the originals so a permanent fix
-
As I said a courageous gamble
-
a highly modified but not completely perfect car https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/vw-Lupo-turbo/114000742427?hash=item1a8af9481b:g:YooAAOSwqgFd56N6 nothing to do with me and it would be a courageous investment
-
Cable operated clutch, no slave or master cylinder, these were only used on the GTI & TDI cars
-
I'll send you a pm

These gearboxes can have synchro problems but its usually up and down from 3rd gear, which is the most used gear for the car but yours sounds more like alignment than the synchro's
-
Hi have you got a manual drivers side mirror, if you have, I'd like the inside cover that fits over the adjusting rod, you lever it at the top then it should slide off the two grommets that hold it in position by pulling it down.

Very odd but also quite nice https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lupo-vw/174104634694?hash=item288971e546:g:PHwAAOSwy6Jd2QkI
