  1. just dont buy reps of expensive wheels, if you cant afford dont bother, you wouldnt walk around wearing a nikke hoodie or a bolce & baggana shirt, theres loads of cheap wheels around, try looking at wheels from other vw models ar wheels from other marques with the same fitment, theres plenty options, just use your imagination, and have a look through Forums and ebay, gumtree etc,
  2. keep your money for the wheels and put it into getting it as clean as possible make the inside a nicer place to be,
  3. cheers james, just wasnt sure what would be best to reseal, think ill give it a go
  4. yea go for 165/50's dude,
  5. have had a search havent seen anything put up the Paint/stonechip/underseal on my drivers sill the textured part seems to have peeled off i dont know whats happened if its been a poor repair in the past before i owned the car or waters gotten underneath buti have apatch around two palms width now gotten a bit rusty, im looking to seal it and paint it DIY im just not sure hwta has been used i dont want to paint it smooth i at least want to try and replicate the texture somehwat so its not too unsightly, my cars fairly low so its not all that visible but it just bugs me, and id rather have it sealed it before it gets any worse.
  6. so buy 12yan's and paint it green essentially lol
  7. id like to see them prove whats lowered 50mm, no 1 car is the same height when i told my insurance they did askif it was under or over, i told them, i honestly dont know, because, i honestly dont know,

  11. grab a set of steels from a scrapyard an get them banded yourself,
  12. bora steels are 5x100 the same as the beetle, they are 16x6.5j i think,
  13. if you want to fit the dock, theres a pinned thread in the inter and in car secction, there was onoly ever around 3 or 4 folk who did it, myself being one of them if you need any help with it be happy to help.
  14. you can buy clips to hold the caps on, but modern 15" steels dont look right with the caps on the bst ones are the beetle/bora 16" steels they look far better and yo can buy white tyre paint, to replicate white walls, but with 16" wheels youll need fairly low pro tyres
  15. havent looked far there are loads on ebay

it shouldnt affect your premium at all, it would really be an anal insurance company to void insurance on such minor cosmetic mods, i would just do it
