  1. Props to the message just heads up he owns non GTI hence the lack of wider flared arches as standard
  2. Yes all depends how agresive you are with the roll on archs and how low you wish to go :)rolloing inwards flat so looks like one sheet metal ,,but not the entire arch will need a role only the part that tyre cuts in can test turning parked with a friend or ive seen others roll out to get a flair but if the wheels poke past the archs not much point im afraid Maybe some camber and strech on tyres may help. I had these guys do mine on last motor http://www.archenemy.co.uk/ I wouldnt say from the pics looks like that much of a poke not that bad but bit of advice have a spare set of rims for MOT as any wheel that passes the wheel arch will fail
  3. 8J ET15 Will poke well past the archs so the archs will need some modifications the offset at ET15 is way to low for me only way you going to get away with no arch rolling modifications is strech tyre and a offset close to the OEM VW ET38 ET42
  4. Try to stick to brands like JL Audio ,Hertz and Alpine even if on budget as you get a true RMS output figures and better clarity you cant go wrong with them ,,mix and match speaker setups is fine ,,Alpine amps and Hetz speakers are all ways a win win for me
  5. Is this what you are referring to unfortunately the pics links are broken http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=29077 Not sure if these are the correct part numbers for your year or engine size ? but 059 919 501 A and a seal n 903 168 02 http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=24617
  6. http://www.bladeice.com/index.php/products/b2-audio/speakers ES 6.1RRP £149.99 Our price £109.99 This is the 6.5" component kit that follows the idea of the ES series "Best Bang for the Buck".Although it is an entry level kit, we haven't cut corners on the performance. So if you're looking for an affordable way to sprite up your OEM system ES6.1 will offer you great value. *It is essential that our woofers are given time to allow the suspension to soften up. Depending on usage, this may take several weeks. While this process is undergoing, it is not recommended to apply full amplification power according to the woofers specs. Once the moving parts have been broken in, the performance of your subwoofer will increase.
  7. Sounds like you having the same issue ive been having it rarely happens thow its a bit unpredictable I all so have no idea what it is ,,I think its either two things the Throttle boddy as that has the idle air control valve built into it or its the starter motor thats the two im going to tackle if gets worse But ive yet to remove my entire throttle body as I was going to give it a good clean with carb cleaner but you will have to replace the gasket and not sure what the part number is yet.
  8. Ow okay no idle control valve :(that explains it thanks for the heads up ,,I guess the only option is to replace the entire throttle body ? I like to remove that part to have a deeper look but unsure where to get hold of a new gasket seal if I break current one when taking off ,any one have a break down pic which bolts to remove etc or part numbers cheers. much appreciated
  9. Could someone please point me to where abouts the idle control valve is located on the Lupo ? Ive cleaned the throttle body with air intake cleaner and would all so like to clean the idle control valve see if helps my small issue I have when starting from cold. My probleme is every now and again so very random at the moment usually on cold starting but like to get sorted before it becomes a everyday fault issue see youtube video easyer to understand
  10. I may tackle removing the purple adjuster some time this week ,what is the easyest way to remove it? which bolts do I need to undo as unfortunatly I did not fit the coilovers
  11. Thanks for the options guys I'm used to complete coil damper setup so when I come across this rear setup humming just hope the removing of the purple adjuster doesn't effect the ride or safety any idea which FK spring part number etc.. which is shorter option?
  12. Hay I recently fitted a set of KW Inox Variant-1 Stainless Steel coilovers and im a little disappointed I cant get the REAR any lower the aduster is set to the bottom the front coilover you can drop to the floor but the rear adjuster spring just wont match my lupo its currently on my winter wheels G60's and large tyres 195/50/15 so im unable to get a took under the arch at the rear which I understand but I was just wondering if any tricks or shorter rear springs available to drop the rear allot more thanks
  13. Im trying to find a VW Lupo Fuse Box Layout Diagram could someone send me to one please maybe a pdf or a image thank you.
  14. KW offer 5 versions for the the Lupo (6E, 6X) see below the above is the the KW Inox Variant-1 Stainless Steel not the 1basic and the rear shocks ive received seem to look like the basic version and ive not received any NO REAR BUMP STOPS ,NO DUST COVER,NO WASHER,NO TOP MOUNT NUT Do any KW setups come with Rear Bump stops and Rear Dust Caps ? KW coilover variant 1basic line galvanized steel KW coilover variant 2basic line galvanized steel KW coilover variant 1 inox-line Stainless Steel KW coilover variant 2 inox-line Stainless Steel KW coilover variant 3 inox-line Stainless Steel NO REAR BUMP STOPS ,NO DUST COVER,NO WASHER,NO TOP MOUNT NUT
  15. Yes the rear spring is Yellow in colour and the lower cup sleeve is purple which is washer and bolt with black lower and upper threads. Im more concerned about the actual rear shock absorber ? The KW box it came with has the Manufacturer part-no.: 10280025 and make sure ive not been a mix up and been given the basic version rear shock strut and spring?
  16. Hi calling all KW Coilover owners im trying to find the correct part number for a Lupo (6E, 6X) Rear Strut KW Inox Variant-1 Stainless Steel and if they supposed to come with KW rear bump stops and dust covers fitted included and if the rear struts are Purple in colour or a solid black ? As im in a little bit of a issue with the Rear strut damper ive received Im trying to find out if ive received the correct part and not the basic version or somthing else that is not the Inox line the part numbers etc..confirm they match as there is a lower KW sticker on them all ..as the ones ive received are Black in colour ? and not the purple in colour which I think supposed to be for the inox line ? Can anyone confirm this so I can get closer to a answer or pics of there purchases before fitment or detail pic of the rear.thanks
  17. out standing Lupo well deserved winner
  18. Have to ask you have ran RCA cable to your headunit sub pre-out? I would re check all your setting are set to on your amp as sounds like your EQ Low pass not configured correctly either amp or headunit... Make sure your ground wire is fitted well as this is usually over looked using good quality cable and make sure you grind the paint back before installing earth to the rear seatbelt as pore grounds equals pore sounding install
  19. Yes this amp will do just fine at 2 ohms at 500 watt RMS is more than over kill power even a 300 watt RMS setup will out perform current setup. What amp brand kit are you using gauge wire are you using?Somthing like this will perform very well as the older JL Audio series amps have been known to perform allot better acheive a cleaner sound,,make him a offer! http://www.ebay.co.u...=item43b3421fe1
  20. Ideally you want two separate dedicated amps in a setup 2 channel or 4 channel option for the mids and high and the MONO block for the subs only!!! and run at 2ohms if the amp is rated stable!!! and subs are capable all so as this way you will achieve the best RMS output,,but due to the Lupo size its very difficult so determine where you situate the amps etc..Its only necessary to have a second amp to power the fronts clarity and volume as running the fronts off the head unit is NOT a issue but there will be a point where they will peak ,where having a dedicated amp you meet there needs and overcome this... As you not necessary trying to obtain a HQ build or high outputs I would take a look at the JBL: GTO-3501e series yes its a cheaper amp but will meet your needs as they are nice compact size for Lupo they arnt as bad as some amps brands at same value range and then if bothered all equipment will match subs etc...for the boot install which is nice ,,,unfortunately all the above is a budget factor im afraid ,, and so many other options and areas to improve but lack of funds but its all about what you want to achieve from a system HQ or volume RMS etc...hope this helps
  21. I struggled myself to find a well looked after TDI or a sport in that case so I gave up ,,so I settled for 1.4s in the end which is a nice balance and not to under powered for my needs but depend what you intend in using for ,if its a every day driver racking allot of miles commuting the TDI or SDI no brainier MPG ,,but ive heard the SPORTS tend to be not so fuel efficient
  22. Thats some nice work! shame not ported other than that for me ,its perfect:)
  23. With that sort of budget its difficult but I would try and stick with anything from Hertz ,JL Audio or Alpine you get more actual realistic RMS output bang for your buck but ideal if you can I would try and find a decent second hand amp or stretch to £200 if you want x2 10" running equal RMS.
  24. Cheers ,yes im very much steering towards the KW brand as most people say they the best think the Inox Variant-1 Coilovers as full stainless steel and I would like them to last as this wet weather does no coilover any good
