Fair point - I've just called them, they have a 480amp one for £69.99 which is compatible. Will try that. Thanks

Hi My lupo won't start, battery is not completely dead, as the stereo still works, yet the clock has reset, there isn't sufficient power to start the car. There is also a bit of discharge from the terminal. I'm looking to pick up a new battery locally from Halfords, quick question will this one be fine for my 1.4s Lupo? http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_264129_langId_-1_categoryId_165762#tab3 Thanks in advance Matt

Hi My front wipers are playing up. At first they started working very slowly and now they at best stutter a centimetre every so often, and the fuse has blown. I'm guessing the motor is on the way out? Are the wiper motors the same for all models? Mines a 1.4s. I've seen this on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-LUPO-FRONT-WIPER-MOTOR-AND-LINKAGE-BREAKING-/120995674100?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c2be777f4 I'm tempted to buy it and try it. How easy are these to replace? Thanks Matt

Nice colour! welcome. I've made only small adjustments to mine, and I love it. I plan on keeping mine for a long time.

He will probably get a mate to bid on it to bump price up.. I can see this being 'won' and magically re-appear on e-bay in a week or two.
-
If you have no idea, I'd suggest its not a route you want to be taking yourself down as clearly those who have had them generally are fairly well up on car mechanics etc. Your bro was lucky buying one ready made. I doubt you will find one. Best stick to the 1.4s or buy a bigger engined car.

A lot, maybe twenteen rolls

The beauty of knowledgeable members, past threads and the search button. My car developed this exact squeek this week, quite loud, and sounding worse than what it turned out to be. Followed the electric tape suggestion and voila squeek is no more. Thank you.

any chance you can post a video / pics of you climbing out? it may help with the diagnosis, there's bound to be a clue in them. oh and welcome - notice its your first post.

Shock absorbers for lowering 40mm front and back ? What brand ?
booble replied to Fretwell's topic in Volkswagen Lupo
I bought Koni lowering springs that dropped it by 40mm. These are on standard shocks. Difference in handling is immense and it looks respectable now, the ride has not been compromised either. These cost me 90 quid new. -
Maybe approx 700 to 800 ?

Thanks, this thread just helped me reset mine - ironically it had a service 2 weeks ago and came on this morning.
