    Koop's Loops

This was all friday night. Saturday saw a trip to B&Q for an 18 mil. This came out & adjuster ring off And back in Much better Couldn't get the bolt out on the other side though So it's about 10mm higher on the n/s rear, it's settled fairly level though tbf. Also got the front door cards in & now my car is lovely & low again, Mrs Koop has nicked it as the Polo's gearbox is leaking oil Also she had banging/rattling noises, found this has come detached Had a fiddle trying to clip it back on & a ball bearing dropped out so it's looking like a new top mount will be needed! Local garage are having a look tomorrow. Hoping to God the gearbox is just a knackered seal.

Needs arch rolling to go any lower really. I tried! So here's where we started...jacked up Threads cleaned off with a wire brush Line of copper grease down the thread Dropped after first attempt Doesn't look that low... That's cos it was still sat on the jack, oops. Got it out by lifting with one of these... Max 630 kg! All the cars they provide with these weigh considerably more than that, no wonder they drop cars on people! That's more like it With one side done the other side already need a jack to get the jack under With 2 sides done, it appears I went a bit far Looks awesome like this Rake Arches were eating the tyres on test drive though So it came up a bit Looks like loads of arch gap here, the stretch isn't helping There really isn't though, can barely get a finger in! Not mega low, but low enough imo Once I was happy I jacked up again & re-greased the threads Rear still needed lowering badly Didn't have an 18mm spanner to get the adjusters out so just had to wind it down as far as I could for now From here... To here Pikey style. Not bad Gap, but much better
  5. Mine's the same, I'm thinking piston rings tbh

    Rear VW badge.

Yup, when you take the badge off you'll see it's attached with what look like little plastic rivets, you can carefully drill or melt them, or even carefullier prise it apart with a screwdriver or something, ideally wrapped in cloth, & putting pressure as close to the 'rivets' as possible to pop each one in turn.
  13. Saw this on fb it was me said you need Em's interior! Coming along nicely
  14. Might as well re-drill on a 4 stud, should be plenty of room
  15. I'm pretty anal but my laziness takes over haha
  16. This would drive Mrs Koop mad, when the wipers don't stop at the bottom if they're on when she stops she'll turn the ignition back on until they return
  17. This is looking well tasty. 16s are the future.
  18. Try finding an M7 spline for splitting passenger seats in Loops & Mk4s, driver's side are M8 but passenger side's smaller & and I found M7 impossible to find!
