  1. Pretty well known car - S3 orange Lupo GTi with number plate M12UPO. I bought this a few weeks ago with the intention of restoring it, but it really is a shed and would need far too much money throwing at it than it's worth! So breaking it for parts. The front OS wing and OS rear quarter is damaged. Both front wings have had the indicators smoothed. Boot lid handle has been smoothed. Various parts missing/damaged/not working. Obviously any body parts will need respraying! All parts available, including the following mods/extras: M12 UPO number plate Genuine front and rear leather seats with heated fronts (heated seats don't appear to work anymore, but buyer is welcome to remove any wiring/switches/fuses etc on collection) JOM coilovers Aftermarket exhaust system (I think made by Powerflow with decat mani but not sure yet) BMC CDA air filter G60 front brakes Polybushed wishbones Factory air con if anyone fancies a retrofit! Bathurst wheels will be fully refurbished and powdercoated before sale Large parts collection from near Gloucester, happy to courier/post smaller parts. Let me know what you need!
  2. Thats me Your car was looking very smart! Even with the front taped up! Haha Yeh mines pretty much standard now. Just got baby G60s with Yoko winter tyres on for the winter
  3. I had a play with the wires inside the steering wheel cover this morning, and everything has worked perfectly all day! Not sure what the problem was really, may be just a loose connection. Thanks for the reply though. It was a genuine unit, managed to get a bargain on eBay from a dealership with surplus stock!
  4. I had problems with my indicators not working properly. The stalk had to be full clicked on for them to work (ie. you couldn't hold it down manually) and they wouldn't self cancel. I read the tutorial on fixing the contacts in the stalk, and decided to buy a brand new genuine stalk instead for easiness. Now the right indicator doesn't work at all! (clicked up or held up) However the left indicators now works perfectly, as does the full beam, left parking light AND right parking light! So basically everything works except for the right indicators. The hazard warning light switch also works for both sides (front and rear, left and right) Any suggestions what might be the problem?!
  5. Has it got an aftermarket headunit? If so, disconnected it and try scanning again.
  6. £10 including delivery
  7. Yeh you can, there's a clip that holds it on. I've got a spare base if you need one?
  8. I'm away for two weeks now but do have a pair at home I'll let you know when I'm back to find out if you still want them
  9. Is this the glossy black lever in the matt black surround?
  10. Any got a GTi with a standard GTi back box, but no centre silencer? ie. centre silencer replacement with straight pipe? Is it much louder than standard? Does it drone?
  11. You can buy reproduction clips on eBay
  12. Does anyone know what actually fails in the steering wheel slip ring to cause the airbag light? Is there any way to fix them rather than having to buy a new one?
  13. Completely legal just to smooth it over and not have one at all. If there's a light there it has to work. But if you don't have a 3rd brake light at all that's fine.
  14. I'll change the driver door micro switch first then. Hopefully that'll get the fuel pump priming properly. Is it likely that the boot one has failed too?
  15. Got a few electrical issues with my GTi.. First is the fuel pump doesn't prime when I open the driver's door. I think this is causing it to splutter a little when starting. Next is the driver's electric window doesn't work. I've swapped around the switches and the switches are definitely all OK. I can hear the motor (or something) clicking but it doesn't want to move. And finally the central locking behaves a little strangely. It locks itself really quickly after unlocking even with a door open. So the alarm goes off before I've finished putting stuff in the boot! Also got to be really close to the car for the central locking to work (tried changing the fob battery but no better). I'm guess all the issues may be related? Oh and not really an electrical fault, but the door pins aren't high enough. So when the car is unlocked only half the pins are out of the rosette and when the car is locked the pins are all the way inside the hole! Any help appreciated EDIT: and the warning light doesn't come on if the boot lid is left open.
  16. Thank you, I messaged him too without realising you had already!
  17. This is still an issue.. Can the limit be raised? And/or can expired adverts be renewed/deleted by users?
  18. Anthracite grey GTi Plate was **53 DUB Today (20/04) at about half 3 Looked very smart!
  19. Polo GTi air boxes are the same as Lupo GTi I was in exactly the same situation when I bought one of mine and went back to standard from K&N. Managed to get one of a Polo GTi that was being broken. On eBay cheap: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/POLO-GTI-6N2-1-6-16V-STANDARD-AIRBOX-AIR-BOX-COMPLETE-/230773265093?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35bb2892c5
  20. I hit a pot hole quite hard last week when going round a bend It bent the wishbone which I have replaced, but the steering wheel is still 45deg out when going in a straight line. Should wheel alignment sort this or is it likely that something else has been damaged too?
