Discribed as: in brilliant condition except a few scratch’s. That translates to: front bumper scuffed, rear bumper scuffed, and dent that needs repair and paint to the rear wing, front bumper both tow eye covers missing. Wants for nothing: yet has oil leak and no history. And more owners than described. And this is all I can see from the pictures. So god forbid what it’s like in person.

Hi Everyone (I did do a search) im looking for another GTi, out of all the cars I’ve had, I just can’t get a Lupo GTi out of my system. And I’ve already had too many gti’s. While on my search this time: 1/ there are too many snot boxes about and lieing sellers (that pled ignorance) that don’t know their A’s from their E’s (nothing changes) 2/ there’s these imported vehicles from Japan.... my personal first feeling/impression is not to bother with the imports. As they are not like a Scooby where you get all the goodness of “twin scroll” etc etc. Also while I’m aware an imported GTi may not have any rust, it will need undersealing and additional work as the JDM cars don’t come with it. Otherwise it will be worse than an uk car. Are these imports GOING to be worth less in the future? Do you loose “bragging” rights as they not part of the original “batch” ? Are they made differently that effects the whole idea GTi? (Spec wise) whats the general pros and cons? Many thanks NBR

If you've got 5k to spend I don't see a point at looking at cars @2.5k(ish). At the end of the day it will cost a lot more to make a "dog" a gem. Just buy the gem in the first place.

After reading the advert: seems like the dealer has at least spent quite abit on it. Looks different from before too.

I would like to apologise in advance to everyone that reads this. Sorry. I don’t like airing my dirty washing in public. But the time has come. Blackcat / Julian / Jules Turbo(why do people do that on facebook, not put their real name. Are they not trying to be found? Kind of defeats the point... Any way I digress). Of course I’m the same Neil that sold you your car; we went to the same school. When are you going to drop this poison pill routine? Every time I get a Lupo you try and do a “spoiler” in the hope it puts people off etc. Maybe you put people off, maybe you don’t. Either way they have all been sold in the past. The last time(s) you tried this I did not have to comment, I believe bossjohnc and a few others tried to educate you with regards to your key situation. As you tried to claim I have sold you a once stolen car, because it only had 1 key. You could not seem to grasp the concept that a second key might have been lost in the 5 odd years that the car had been on the road(It was HPi Clear at the time). Also a spare key was never discussed in the deal that was done. So it’s not like I promised you one and did not deliver. It did not have one. With regards to your clutch/gearbox situation. You notified me of a problem you were having after your warranty period had passed. So there is nothing I could do for you there. Once your warranty is up, it’s up. Either way I was not going to be paying/contributing to your repairs for a couple of reasons. 1/ You were witnessed driving your car within an inch of its life, by me & a VW master tech. On several occasions. 2/ I followed your ownership journey on these boards, along with your “race” with a Mini Cooper S which lead to your gearboxes demise. (If anyone’s interested they can search for his posts on this forum and read it for themselves, if he has deleted/edited them I have digital and hard copies for you to review if you wish). 3/ Your probably not aware, but one day you were talking to a very good friend of mine who had witnessed your driving skills I previously mentioned. While you were talking, he phoned me and I was listening in on the conversation. What I heard there sealed it for me & I should imagine any court in the land had you wished to take it that far. Which you did not, but were perfectly intitled to do. Julian I had hoped you would let sleeping dogs lay, due to the fact it is fast approaching 2 years ago, and that you had now written off that car in a very dramatic way. Please make no mistake Jullian I wish you no bad Karma or feelings. But i want nothing to do with you! Its not even a case of "if you see me walking along the street and your on the same side as me you had better cross over." It s me that would cross over.

dvs-lupo: Yes it has had a repair at some stage on the OSR. As you see the car is how i got it. If that was the damage that caused the Cat C i don't know.

Yep one in the same person. Yes Ladies & Gents the car is not perfect. But then as i said before the price reflects that. I will try and answer some of the points raised in this thread & your more than welcome to ask any further questions and i will answer them for you. Rear badge(s), Head lamp washer covers & a few other odds & sods are being ordered on monday, and then fitted once they arrive. Interior Window rubbers will then be fitted. A few other bits then be done before it is re-cleaned & re-pictured. I pretty much just got it and then got it up for sale. So its not had my full attention yet because i knew it needed more than just a valet. When i got the car i took it straight to the MOT station where it passed once a new tyre, a couple of bulbs & the drivers seat frame fixed. The MOT inspector dropped the car back to me and was "raving" on about how good it was to drive. His jaw hit the floor when i told him it was a CAT C. He did not realise until i told him. Yes it was un-valeted & a few marks but he really did not know. So read into that what you will. Since then it was flatted & mopped then valetted, Used car checked. Nothing horrible raised it head. I have not noticed any excessive drivers seat wear, but will check tomorrow. I cannot see from the pictures the scuffing on the lower drivers door card, again will check tomorrow. At the end of the day "it is, what it is" If you want a mint box, perfect GTi there are plenty to chose from (about 12 on autotrader, if you call 12 plenty) and this is not the one for you. If you have not got the necessary funds to buy the equivalent "straight " (£6k) GTi then this could be the one for you. Or of course if you want a project, engine conversion, track car etc then this would be perfect (i almost fancy doing this to it myself ) I wish you all the best, feel free to flame, praise, curse me or what ever takes your fancy. Headlamp washers are there, just need the caps. Gear Gaiter: No Masking tape there??? Arosa light: personal taste? Random Blue wire: Speaker wire that needs tucking up under the dash. No cd Player: Not the end of the world No engine cover: See K&N Filter Wheels knackered: Yea need a refurb, gives you an excuse to chose a new colour... Coolant: Ok needs a coolant change, or new pot. No head gasget issues there. Drives great. £3000 Makes a good track day car or drop a 1.8T lump in... Either way its HALF the price of a straight one. Seems Fair to me...

why should you have too? It would probally cost ford £2.50 and a bag of jelly tots to fit them. I'm pretty sure "all" the competition have them.

You know what makes me laugh/cry about these focus ST's... 5 Door Versions DON'T have rear elec windows as standard. For The best part of 20k i'd want that as standard. Nice looking car Adam hope you enjoy it, their a hoot to drive... I would of gone for ASBO Orange but thats my personal choice.

I was going home one night in a Bright Red Fiesta ST with the full White Strip kit (so i stuck out like a saw thumb). Any way i was driving like a tit, probally i was speeding, on the phone, under taking you name it i was probally doing it. I was not proud about it. I pulled off a main road and then the blues and 2's came on behind me on an unmarked car. I Pulled over, got straight out of the car and said "you got me, fair cop" they then quized me etc they then said "give me one good reason why you were driving like you were and we won't do you for 6 points" I must of gone white as a sheet and said "there is not any reason/excuse i could possible come up with to justify my actions... i'm sorry" They let me go on my way. They said they had never met anyone who had put their hands up to it straight away, or come up a non-BS excuse/answer. _____________________________________________ When i had just passed my test, i was driving my mum and dad Nissan Terrano N-reg it was about 6 months old. It was about 20th dec around 12 midnight, i was parked up outside my mates house with 2 mates. They were drinking a case of stella between them. Next thing we knew a police car had blocked us to the front and rear. They got us out of the car and grabbed the keys. To make matters worse i had a leather jacket on, that i had bought that day so it stank. We looked like right drug dealers / robbers. Then 2 more cars turned up along with a meat wagon. They thought they had hit the jack-pot with us. They started stripping the car, looking everywhere for what ever. Asked what we were doing, we said waiting for our mate. They said without turning around whats his address? i just pointed and said don't know the address. Well we knew we had done nothing wrong so started taking the michael quite badly. After 20 mins they were finished with us and the last copper to leave was the first to arrive. He started to walk off with my keys. I let him get to his car, get in then done a very loud wolf whistle. "Oi give me my keys" "sorry didn't mean to inconvience you" was his parting words. Its nice to get one up on them.

Back on topic: Leon Cupra would be my choice- BUT it would need to be a "face lift" version 2003 onwards. Pre facelift are not worth it i feel. Not really going to get one of them for about £3500 unless its done some leg. Second choice would be the Octavia VRS, massive boot & great cruiser realistic MPG for both would be about 28 MPG. This you will get for about £3500- but even less of these around than the cupra. 2pence

Motor trade= Screwed up at the moment... Let me explain. New cars are on the floor... Deals to be had but no better than say 3-4 months ago... Used cars OMG!!!!... Prices through the roof!!! Used car dealers are paying up to £1000 over book on some cars. 4x4 Lux versions (x5,ML, RR) are going up in value... because they have had such a hit over the past 6 months. They reached the bottom and can only go up.

I use to play "super air" Paintball. I use to get to go around europe to compete. It was great fun, but very expensive to play! Haven't played in over a year though, just not had the time. I must say though it was a great stress reliever... hard to explain, but shooting the granny out of someone felt..... great...

I've not long had mine setup wireless to play COD4 (it ruining my life by the way!). I'm probally going to take it off wireless though as i find there can be quite abit of lag etc & a Cable must be a bit more stable for gaming i would think.
