Mike stokes sell them for about £2 a bolt if after new. Will check in the garage mate lol i think i have a set from when i replaced mine a while ago with newer ones. They are the tapered ones for sure too. I will find out tomorrow morning for you if interested in a set for £5

The GTI spoiler brake light unit (complete) from VW is about £35

Pull the central knob out and there is a slim bulb that needs removing and replacing.

GTI xenons are 4500K for a crisp white light. 6000k will be more blue and have an after market look to them.

Well I refurbed some Momo Arrows a couple of months ago in Anthracite and put them on my GTI for a little extra comfort due to the wife being pregnant but reverted back to the 16's now as the Mk5 Golf is the main family car. They are 15 x 6.5 ET40 4x100 with 57.1 VW spigot rings They come with 2 nearly new Goodyear Eagle F1's 195/45/15 tyres and 2 brand new Kumho Ecsta 195/45/15 tyres. They owe me minimum £250 so selling for £250 and you can collect from Bournemouth. Delivery could be done for an extra £40 via DHL All balanced and nothing wrong with them.............no stupid offers as I would just keep them as winter rims otherwise as the 2 Goodyear tyres are worth £200 on their own Here are some pre tyre image shots and with the current tyres fitted

or wait until the wedding is over and see what change is left in the pot That is a tight budget to get a tidy GTI. I would not sell mine for less than 5k for example (not selling anymore) and been offered 4.5k from a VW dealer with my mods removed.

It will be a wire or both that go into the plug of the switch. They break in side sometimes............revsrse upto a wall, get a friend or put a mirror up againt the car so you can check the rear lights, then put it into reverse and turn ignition key without starting the car and jig the wires on the reverse switch to see if the reverse lights come on...........if they do cut off connector and trim a little off the wire until you get fresh stuff and resolder/join. Had to do this to my Mk4 Golf

Cheers. Car is now in winter mode with the Momos on for the winter and added some Grayston spring assistors to help with stopping the driveshaft from knocking and it seems to be working well.

Worn micro switch and one that is sticking. Had a similar issue and then the unit failed and locked me in the car. I had to break it apart from the inside as the door could not be opened. £100 later and new lock mech in everything is fine again.

The Lupo GTI to me is practical for work and as my weekend toy but when it comes to family time.......the Mk5 Golf wins for ease etc, but the Lupo can be used if items are placed with precision in the boot LOL which is difficult when it rains!

The arches are also flared and stick out further than the normal Lupo
