aaron.hoppy Posted May 8, 2013 Report Share Posted May 8, 2013 There is thread on here about how to clean the EGR valve, sometimes they get clogged up with smut and a good wash through with carb cleaner can sort it out. Just take of the EGR valve and fill it with carb cleaner, close up the ends and give it a good shake and let it rest for 10 minutes then shake it again and pour all the remaining liquid away. It makes the car run nasty for about a minute as it burns off all the impurities but after that it will go back to normal. Sometimes it works sometimes not! but by far the cheapest way!
