  3. yeah we got the reg and everything but i wanted the grade so i could go and get same oil and not pay stealer prices. i'll send you a message over now pal, from the part number can it then be deciphered what oil it is? or am i going to have to take the plunge anyway. if so im going tps as i believe they're cheaper then dealers or do you HAVE to be a trader to purchase from there?
  4. haha thats the loops story atleast. i think channel 5 got the directors cut of my glasto trip down sufficiently
  5. does no one know the answer to this, i went to vw today and he said they dont even put the grade of oil on the bottles they sell
  6. its no rumour, the bases of the golf seats need grinding down abit so the seats can move as the lupos runners are shallower or something. theres a how to on it showing how much needs grinding off. dont think its much
  7. can anyone recommend the appropriate grade gear box oil i should put in my 02 sport AUB and the box has done 130k. theres no problems with it but i dont think its been changed in its life and with winter coming up i want to make its life as easy as possible. ive read the how to on changing it and castrol 75/90s was used on a 1.4s but is this the case with the sport or will it need different oil as its ratios are different. any help will be much appreciated
  8. did it, also had a go polishing my exhaust tip after snapping this as sometimes its not visible in the dark cos of how filthy it be. still not changed the oil as it was raining and cba being on my back in the rain, when i do im gunna drop the gbox oil also just because. gunna wash it sunday to either celebrate the fact i got glasto tickets or commiserate the fact i did not and have a go at clay barring some bumbers see how that works out
  9. cheers folks, my cousins going out with someone who does ice installs so i'll try and pick his brains and also see if i can listen to someones 6/9s before i go ahead. will splicing new speakers on the vw existing looms suffice or is that just a waste of time?
  10. bought some se rears this evening of a nice bloke from facebook. celebrated with a free kfc courtesy of my pal. one rear fog aint working but thats minor and probs just a bulb gone because they look the dogs ****. gunna debadge the rear tomorrow i think, how many times does one car need to tell you how many valves its got eh. might even change my oil and filter as the new engines done 1k now then i'll put a snap up. im well happy didnt think id get cambridges for a decent price but i did
  11. if thats the door catch then it'll be to power the micro switch that lets the interior light know to turn on when the doors open and makes the beeping noise when you've left your lights on
  12. open airs aint all they're cracked up to be it turns out, would prefer a sunroof half the size that lets light through all the time and couldn't be penetrated by a pen knife
  13. thats is deffo one to consider, the 500 quid price tag is a abit of a no go at the moment though. probs gunna throw my 8inc active in the back again for the time being, just uprate the doors and try my hand at fitting tweeters
