JoeA
Basically how much your wheels stick out (or in some cases stick in) from the arches. Its the measurement from the mounting point of the wheel to the center.http://www.nice-wheels.co.uk/pcdandoffset.html
jackfarrington
on a wheel im looking at the offset is 30, what does that mean? thanks buddy
Adam R4
It means the mounting face is 30mm away from the centre of the wheel.Google it.
jackfarrington
whats the mounting face?
Adam R4
The bit of the wheel that mounts to the hub where the bolts go through.
jackfarrington
oh i see, so is would 30 be noticable? id like them to be quite poked out but not a ridiculous amount. if not would you recommend spacers?
joshuaar
You'll also need to know wheel width and diameter bud

Pete91
You'd be best just pretty much googling everything you just asked. Basicly what scotty said...just less blunt haha
AshArosa
yeah i know that im gunna get either 8 or 8.5 width and 15in diameterDont make it any harder than it is. Buy some wheels which are meant to fit not some which require work to the arches and silly amounts of unnecessary camber. Buying 8 or 8.5j will more than likely require work to make them fit.. Fob163
i stretched 195/45/15 onto 8/8.5J, thats not too much, but a nice bit. the lower the offset, the more they poke. hope this helps

Bostock
I am looking at getting 16" x 7.0 Calibre alloys: http://rimstyle.com/alloywheels/detail/?car_model_id=13070;wheel=calibre_vintage_ss;dia=16;width=;et=25l25;cat=With an offset of ET25 and low profile tyres with no stretch will these be ok after i put coilovers on my car? Cheers
scotty_82
Nope they will still look like fake bbs with or without the coilovers
Bostock
Nope they will still look like fake bbs with or without the coiloversI wasn't asking for a cocky opinion about what the rims will look like thanks, I know they are not real BBS but i don't fancy spending most of my monthly wages on wheels. I was actually hoping for a constructive comment regarding whether the wheels will fit in the arches. I guess you can't get that kind of help here then? scotty_82
It wasnt cocky it was factual. It was the instant finance bit on rimstyle that was probably floating your boat. Please take into account the wheels will probably be worthless by the time you have actually got round to paying it off.If you are not getting finance on them then why pay bbs money for something that only looks like them ? JoeA
My RMs didnt cost much more than that and thats including shipping from Germany. Granted they need a refurb but when done they will be not only sweet as ****, but also an investment
Bostock
i'm only young and have no bills so i can buy them outright, 500 is not as much as real bbs as they are around double that from the ones i've seen?Joeadamou, nice man! i just don't want to be having them re-furbed because i wouldn't know what i am looking at
