I'm learning to drive now and i thought it would be interesting to see the figures you guys have, I've got my theory on tuesday :)

How many lessons with an instructor did you all have?

Did you drive a parents car aswell?

How long did it take you to pass?

How many attempts?

oh yeah he worked for the council driving a dustcart for about 4 years before he had his normal car driving license let alone one for a HGV

he drove himself to the test centre and the examiner came out and asked where his instructor was and he just said "gone for a cup of tea" lol passed first time but back when he done his tests things where alot different then.

he certainly has some tails :D one includes driving a moped with L plates on to brighton in the pissing rain with a passenger who didnt have a crash helmet but had a nifty traffic cone! .... he got pulled over and had to go to court. the judge found it funny and it was dismissed

Ray, did they have tests when you learned to drive?

I took just under 30 lessons, I'd never driven before and didn't do much driving outside of my lessons.

Passed first time with 1 minor fault!

Regiment? REGIMENT? I was definately not in a regiment. I also had a licence for one of these...

For that comment; if I could give you a warning point I would.

Drove my own car to work practically every day - helped a lot!

2 attempts...failed first time for speeding... ^_^

Passed first time on my theory though!

a fair few lessons and 1yr but mainly due to issues with bsm messing everything up and my first instructor making me run his errands and teaching me nothing, been doing drifting since i was 15 (now 18) so plenty of previous driving experience, passed my test 3rd time.

Well, that's better than the Army as they did ultimately pay my wages, but still deserving of a poke in the eye.
