Cooper_GTI
Why are awesome not doing it? Defcon5
I would imagine they used to sub it out, and now no longer have the contact
Philplop
For those that haven't seen the other thread, Awesome said:Unfortunately the peice of equipment we use for this has been damaged and due to how expensive it is to replace, it would take us a heck of a long time to replace, not to mention that it is pretty much obsolete these days with the exception of the Lupo/Polo Sport/GTI ECU's.For this reason it isn't looking to be something that we will be doing again. marvelt
at speed racing in raliegh essex.taking my tdi down there soon for its mapping, the place has everything looks the nuts(edit)just looked on their site and they don't map the lupo GTI, they do have a rolling road so hypothetically they could remap it for you, I'm guessing it would be pretty pricey as it would be a completely custom job. however this is what they do offer. Lupo 1.0 50 BHP £299 - +9 BHP +16 Nm Torque Lupo 1.2 TDi 61 BHP £299 Yes +29 BHP +75 Nm Torque Lupo 1.4 TDi 75 BHP £299 Yes +29 BHP +75 Nm Torquealso Don’t worry if you can’t see your model above, it doesn’t mean we don’t offer any performance or economy software tuning for it. Please contact us for more information. Edited February 17, 2012 by marvelt
LoopEd
+9 BHP from remapping a 1.0, that's a bit optimistic wouldn't you say? 18% increase.......
marvelt
if they say they can do it, one can only assume that they can achieve that. in the scheme of things 9 bhp isn't a huge increase and i imagine it would mostly be in the top end and throttle response
LoopEd
9 bhp is a pretty huge increase when the engine only produced 50 bhp! Remap a gti without any modifications and you'd be lucky to see those gains!
JoeA
nearly 20% there
marvelt
someone take a 1.0 there and prove them wrong. I'm just going by what it says on the website and they're a reputable company.
