crookie01
hi, new to the lupo world, currently driving a T-reg 1.4 AHW. im looking to upgrade from the sluggish 75bhp AHW to 100bhp AFK/AFH/AQQ. eventually i will replace intake/exhaust and then chip/tune. i heard the AFH (from polo?) is the best option as it is better for modding however the AFK is a slightly newer version??? or do i have that back to front? i have a guy who is good with electrics but i will have to get my cash out to use him sooooo the one which will take the lupo looms without too much splicing may have to be my final option.thanks for any help you can give me

crookie01
The best engine for your Lupo. The AHW.do you not suggest putting a sport engine in the lupo then? why is this?

Rich
I suggest buying a sport. What's the point in building what you can buy ?You'll spend time, money and effort doing something you can just go get out of the autotrader. You're going to splice loom etc, you're just taking a reliable car and creating issues which will make it unreliablle, there's no point. crookie01
your comment does have a point but (having a DR10 and IN10 on my licence) i would not be able to afford insurance on the sport version hence why i brought this car to start with...if i could 'fool' the insurance company for at least a year it would benefit me a great deal
crookie01
plus i have already spent a load of money on this engine and now im looking at new throttle boddies ect ect and its a 92,000 miler.
Rich
So technically you can't afford insurance so you're wanting to commit insurance fraud ?So very clever. Just buy my car, it's still on the logbook as a one litre.
crookie01
in a sense it will still be a 1.4 16valve

Try Edition38, they seem to support insurance fraud on there.
Cooper_GTI
Why not go the whole hog and put an Essex V8 in the back with a Holly 4 barrel out the roof and 2" headers out the rear quarters.Cops would never know it's anything other than a standard 8 valve... crookie01
your making me out to be some kind of dick, i dont hang about outside macdonalds, im 25 next year and the in10 will be removed from my licence pretty much the same time. i have never been tugged for speeding or driving erratically, i got caught for the dr10 because i had a headlight out, i was JUST over the limit.i was thinking about chopping it for the afk engine as it is pretty much the same block, same cam system ect, then next year, when i can afford it, log the engine change. unless you do something drastically silly nothing will ever come of it. i drive all day, every day in my kind of work and i have not crashed once in the 5 years i have been on the road. i feel the £1900 i pay to drive a 1.4 is fraud. jamiea7x
mate someone crashes into you causes a pile up, insurance realise the engine is not the one your insured for, insurance is invalid now how would you feel about that, commiting insurance fraud is something dicks do, mate you wouldnt like it happen to you so why do it,,grin and bear it and when you can afford buy a quicker car then
