  1. doubtfull but there are VW specific breakers, just google it
  2. your making me out to be some kind of dick, i dont hang about outside macdonalds, im 25 next year and the in10 will be removed from my licence pretty much the same time. i have never been tugged for speeding or driving erratically, i got caught for the dr10 because i had a headlight out, i was JUST over the limit. i was thinking about chopping it for the afk engine as it is pretty much the same block, same cam system ect, then next year, when i can afford it, log the engine change. unless you do something drastically silly nothing will ever come of it. i drive all day, every day in my kind of work and i have not crashed once in the 5 years i have been on the road. i feel the £1900 i pay to drive a 1.4 is fraud.
  3. not the worst thing anyone has ever done. i dont want to waste any more money fixing an old AHW
  4. plus i have already spent a load of money on this engine and now im looking at new throttle boddies ect ect and its a 92,000 miler.
  5. just used cheap crap from eurocar
  6. your comment does have a point but (having a DR10 and IN10 on my licence) i would not be able to afford insurance on the sport version hence why i brought this car to start with... if i could 'fool' the insurance company for at least a year it would benefit me a great deal
  7. do you not suggest putting a sport engine in the lupo then? why is this?
  8. hi, new to the lupo world, currently driving a T-reg 1.4 AHW. im looking to upgrade from the sluggish 75bhp AHW to 100bhp AFK/AFH/AQQ. eventually i will replace intake/exhaust and then chip/tune. i heard the AFH (from polo?) is the best option as it is better for modding however the AFK is a slightly newer version??? or do i have that back to front? i have a guy who is good with electrics but i will have to get my cash out to use him sooooo the one which will take the lupo looms without too much splicing may have to be my final option. thanks for any help you can give me
  9. i had this same problem with my AHW, poor service history and over 90,000 miles. i did a number of things and have not had this problem since. firstly i noticed the spark plugs were covered in thick sludgy oil so i redone the cam cover gasket, which was pretty ****ed, secondly i replaced sparks and leads, complete cam belt kit and then done a thorough engine flush. this only ever seemed to happen when run up to full temperature. hope this helps
