scotty_82
Anywhere before the filter would be the obvious answer, if you drill after it you might as well throw the filter away.
jabbles21
Take a look at my readers rides thread. I've got a snap of mine but i've gone a bit over the top with it.Jake.
chris c
the lupo airbox isnt very well suited to being drilled really as it will suck in hotter air than a remote located airbox so it might be worth inlarging the intake pipe first
Picola
Do people actually do this? I thought drilling holes in things were done solely by boy racing chavs to make their car sound louder.

chris c
brap brap it might be best to find a lupo gti airbox base and intake pipe as they have a larger diameter pipework the main thing you want is nice fresh cool air

Pete
You'll be fine as long as you get a cold air feed to where you've drilled.
ChristopherReeve
Well i drilled at the back of the airbox and yeah i have a cold airfeed il upload some pictures tonight
si_leeds
Imo a cold air feed makes no difference in comparison to the 90 degree heat coming off of your engine, this is why iv never understood cone filters, people say "oh iv got a cold air feed pointin at it" but its still surrounded by hot air! nfbr
The lupo engine is a bit poop for induction kits. The ideal scenario would be to make up a relocation pipe which moves the air filter upto the front of the car, away from the engine and the heat! The only downside there is if you are behind some pleb who likes driving through puddles you could suffer from a little bit of water ingress into the intake system.
