JoeA
Too wide?
AmiLady
not wide enough on the back rest and base. and the bases are longer
mccrindle
I had same obstacle with my tt mk 2 rears where the base was too wide and the top too narrow. Granted i didn't do the work myself but the guy who done it cut slightly in to the plastic pockets to allow room for the base and then made up some wood that was trimmed etc. to make it an oem fit, can give you some pics if it will be any help? AmiLady
im not altering the pockets or add to the plastic, im making the seats wider to fit the space by padding them out before i re trim them

Koop
Once you've got all the various bits of cloth measured out how do you go about marking how they need to be sewn together, do you mock them up and pin them? AmiLady
Once iv got all the pieces for the seat i have a reference mark at the start and finish and sew them all together ... Dont no if its the right way as all this is self taught
