DANIELP1991
Hi peeps.i just fitted my borbet ts on my arosa.the are 14x7j ET25 offset with 185/55/14cars lowerd 40mm on gmax shocks and springs.only thing is i got quite a bit off scrubbing!just wondered if any one has any ideas how i can stop it. what will work?i was thinking of using 195/45/14s.or maybe getting offsets machined, but i love the way the sit out a bit from the arch tbh.or maybe get coilovers? with the gmax theres still some body roll like so maybe some coilovers with eliminate this as they are stiffer?what you reckon? Defcon5
When do they scrub? Over humps, cornering, cornering at speed etc
DANIELP1991
cornering mainly.but some big dips in the road will cause it aswel.

jamiea7x
its the tyre hitting the arches mate.. at the back itll be fine itll be the fronts more than likely only option is arch rolling your prob better of fitting 195/45 tyre aswell as they look much better plus itll help a tad with the rubbing
richcr
I have 195/45's on my borbet t's and they dont scrub, mines lowered on coilies. But i think mine are et35? iirc.
DANIELP1991
Surely if i have coilys the car wont roll as much, which should stop it?
Deadmetal
Not really as you'll be lower.Just get some 195 45 on the wheels and should be good.
lolly
I have the Standard Arosa alloys on my car, on Coilies running 195/45/14's and i get scrubbage around roundabouts. Its crazy you are getting scrubbage when your on springs!
Emz
I miss my scrubbage, I had my arches rolled and I hardly ever get scrubbage now unless i'm going over a massive bump!My old Borbet T's were on 195/45's and they were ET35 and again only had scrubbage over bumps etc, as long as it's only a little scuff and not taking a huge chunk out you should be fine
JamesU
Im with Emz.I lowered my car just to get scrubbage!
DANIELP1991
i cant stand it, cant push it at all round bends.how much does arch rolling cost??i dont wana change the wheels cos they look wicked.has anyone taken their arch liners out?at the top of mine close to the arch lip theres a pretty big hole now. Philplop
Best off leaving the arch liners in and waiting for the bits that touch to wear through. If it's just rubbing on the liners then don't worry, it won't rub for long. If it's rubbing on the actual arch then it should get sorted really, check the tyres for scrape marks. Emz
Greg Howell charges £25 an arch depending on how much needs doing at Southam Bodies, he did mine
