OK so after weighing up the options of selling it or not the car dropped a bombshell.

Driving home from work and the oil light starts flashing so I pull over and open the bonnet to be greeted to oil everywhere.

I think it's dead :(

And just like that its fixed.

Decided to get some new oil/filter from work. Degreased the engine bay checked the spark plugs, all ok, checked the pistons, all ok, replaced the oil and it fired up fine.

Then found the oil pressure switch pissing oil everywhere so thats being replaced and it should be good to go again.

Thanks guys im glad its ok.

Joti ive just bought a house so im switching to the moped in order to save money. The lupo is being kept though just taken off the road for a bit.

Im possibly going to do some mods to the moped and mayby even lower it.

That's cool - at least you're not selling up like lots of others :(

Glad to hear it, but yeah it makes sense....

Start a thread for the moped then - has to be done! ;)

Replaced it and the cars running great again

It also allows me to give some advice

If you see an oil light stop right then. Had i stopped any later and my engine would have been toast.

Well a decision has been made regarding the future of the car.

Im still buying the house which is taking longer than expected so ive had a chat with the missus about cars and weve decided to get rid of her fiesta and shes going to have the lupo.

Good news is i can keep the lupo

Bad news is she wont have it unless its standard

Today was its last day of insured status so i started standardizing.

Then immediately found a problem. Went to take the coilovers off only to discover the person who did the tracking used a buzz gun on the bolts and i cant get the bloody things off. Ive broken 3 sockets and two ratchets today so im pretty pissed off. Ive got 3 bolts undone so just one more to go

And the car is currently like this
