Philplop
Best thread ever!I vote for cheap coilovers. 1. It's a van.2. You'll probably sell it before you get round to ordering expensive ones. Needs lowering now! Edited January 2, 2010 by Philplop
nfbr
KW ones come with the shackles n bits required for flipping the rear axle to lower it! Not sure about the cheap ones.
MattyA
KW ones come with the shackles n bits required for flipping the rear axle to lower it! Not sure about the cheap ones.same deal with the cheap ones, get some clamps and bars to change the position of the struts on the rear.I'm keeping the van regardless tbh, it only cost £4.4k so no point getting rid. MattyA
Who makes the cheap ones?VMaxx @ £550KW V1 @ £990or Eibach springs with KW rear clamps and adjustor bars @ £400IIRC Koni or Spax make suitable shocks too @ £100 each
nfbr
The eibach springs only drop it around 30mm (or at least the one we did)With the height of it as standard, 30mm doesn't lop a lot off!
Philplop
Bloody hell! £550 for VMaxx! I take it back, go for KW's!Does anybody flip the axle, or is it just the shackle thingies?
Silver!
...are you sure you want to drop it really low? One of the reasons I went for the Dune is so I can get into the forestry car parks etc. as I was fed up of dragging the arse of the Lupo and Arosa. Air ride? Air ride?I hear what you're saying Silver! but I want the option to set the ride height. There is so much space between wheel and arch that you could drop it 70mm and still have something very usable. Also here in England we have some of the finest forrestry tracks around, even Foxy in his dropped toy car can get in the cps.
