I may have to use the Mk1 bottom half of the rear bumper on the Lupo top, love the little dip on it.

Daily obviously the chopped springs will raise it a bit .. but you get the idea of just

how much moar travel I now have.

I love the bottom of the mk1 bumpers.

I prefer the color of textured plastic too.

Its a sort of charcoal grey rather than black.

Now that you have Audi winters however. You need to get

the lower sections of the bumpers smoothed and painted the

same color as the center caps... that sort of pearly metllic gray.

because that is what they do on the actual A6/A8

would still look lovely.

When i say smoothed i dont mean totally smoothed. Just take the

texture off of the lower sections and have some nice shiney silvery audi center cap

color paint.

Yeah, i thought thats what you meant, i'd probably go over the Audi centers to add more depth, they're flat ATM.

Hmm, could do that the Mk1 stuff when it's removed.

I hate plans :P

Gosh i love this!

Just makes me want a cheap arosa/lupo to much about with!

Swap?

Okay, swap plus £500? ;)

how much will it have to go up so that it doesn't rub??

Hurry up and get the rest painted!!!

It depends on how much the springs compress.

It's going to be lower than before, the point is with a chopped spring I

will still have travel outback and the springs wont fall out/ seat oddly when jacked up

As for getting painted.. Rain, daylight and warmth are distinctly lacking at the moment.

However I have made a start on the front bumper. Decided not to smooth it

the filler wont last five minutes. I have to drag the bumper across the floor

a good meter or so everytime I get on the driveway.

When mine was on the winters, the shocks stopped before the arch touched the wheel.

Was close though.

The travel is enough to tuck the whole tire up

and still there is travel left.

It only stops because the beam hits the rigidbody.

As in the back could not physically go lower without notching of some description.

That is mad! Really love the colour too. He's looking better and better the more panels you paint

Thank you Amber.

I really want the whole thing done.. its taking sooo long.

ahaha Kam your poor Astray!

..TBF I can't even get it off the drive.

Going to be spending friday re-laying the slabs because I pulled the bottom part of the bumper

off getting on it the other morning.

It won't line up straight at the top now either

Nothing a few self tappers can't fix
