MrBiscuit
That is extremley good, has it been remapped? How do you know ahat it got today? Surely you havnt used a full tank?nah no remap, maybe one day when ive changed the clutch and timing belt..2nd time around.I've got a scanguage, like an OEM trip computer, gives instant, trip, mpg amongst other things.plugs into diag port.warm weather helps MPG & now on 105K miles.some granny driving mind, below 2k revs is the trick .. no turbo action.plus some coasting in neutral down some hills, and some others in gear.. as appropriateI get to perfect this 5 times a week, its a commuting amusement. set cruise control, & admire the view..only 80.7 mpg todaygot 85 yesterday. 27 dec C in sunny Devon.the warmer the less time on cold fuel map.real tank calcs confirm scanguage to +or- 3% eg fueling errors Edited June 4, 2009 by MrBiscuit

MrBiscuit
not sure if the PM thang panned out for me as I'm a lowly poster...any ways..ref scanguage...Hi Tomyes pretty much all of those features are there, & you can add others by programming in commands, I have turbo boost added & instant BHP, though this seems never to get to 70.bought mine from fleabay there's a few on at the moment.scanguage searchthough I got mine for around the £100 mark.go for the scanguage IIcertainly helps with fuel economy, & shows you when you are spanking it.can get it down to low teens with a thrashing.you can pop out the ODB port behind the ash tray & do a tidy install if you do a search on club lupo, Jon (TDI Loop) has done a very nice install with his.takes a bit of faffing to get the settings right, but once done as I said its pretty accurate.hope this helpscheersPhil
Steve TDI
Mine has a Angel Tuning chip that was fitted by the last owner R44my_k. I have just done a oil and filters change but before then I was getting 260 to 270 miles to the light and i've done 30 miles so far with the light on. So about 300 to a tank.I normally get £25 to £27 of fuel to the top. No idea where they get 34L tank from!!!!I always use Shell's normal Diesel but this one time I thought i'd try the local Jet station.... 240 miles later the fuel light came on!!!! Not going back to that one again. The other Jet stations seam to be fine. I do get about 10 more miles with the Shell though.I have only had the car just over 3 months now but I have put over 7k on it in that time. I have always filled the tank to the top every time I stop for fuel.Oh and I drive quick, very quick. I get about 50 mpg which is very very good for me.
