RichardS
I can't see how you can put it back wrong? screws in correct place the lining on each side is correct. There is a U section on the top of the bumper and a "Flange" ( One for biggaz) bolted to the rear panel of the car, The flange fits in the U section, It looks like you have the flange below this U section, HTH. Arosa16vology
Spent the day with my mate today and got the driver side smoothed!Did this earlier in the summer but needs another coat of filler. Steve m
Sometimes when the bumper is painted and baked off it can warp it with the heat and how it is positioned on the stand, that might be why it is a bit close to the tailgate. Nathan_S
with the rear bumper smoothed like that where do the reflectors go? i'm pretty sure you need them for a MOT! cheersNathan
one litre wonder ;)
yup , on a mk2 with a smoothed out rear bumper with no reflectors on the bumper its an MOT failure as the rear lights are non-reflective i had this problem 2 years ago when i smoothed mine out , so you have 2 options , put mk1 lights on it ( ghay ) or leave them off and then come MOT time you get 2 small magnetic reflectors and stick them to the boot door , when you pass take themoff again

Jowey
looks good, get rid of that seat badge though! what's next on the agenda?Ben the badge is the boot handle .. dont go removing the badge and handle and welding plates in the hole etc.just fit a mk1 bootlid for that smooth look.. unless that defeats the point too
