Clairey Fairy
Right,I am now pretty much homeless. Im kipping in my dad's spare room for bit but there is absolutely nowhere to put my stuff - all my clothes are currently in black bags in the back of the lupo and there is litterally no room anywhere for me to stay there (Contents of 4 houses in one, plus 2 businesses)Suggestions please as to where to live - it can be anywhere in England. I have no family ties, no ties to my job and if it means i get to live somewhere groovy with lots of nice people im prepared to piss my savings away for a few months.Liking the sound of Sale (Manchester) at the mo?! Adam
Newcastle upon Tyne is a good choice, but i am slightly biased. Whenever i go away to other cities, i always come back home and think that Newcastle is still the place to be. Maybe i am too attatched? Or maybe it is that good?! Clairey Fairy
Its defs agood thing Adam, id LOVE to be there. Its totally crazy and irrational coz ive never actually been there but ive wanted to live there ever sinse i can remember - would be so much cheaper too! Im lucky in the fact that my job isnt really specialist - just bog standard Sales Admin and Secretarial type stuff so finding a job shouldnt really be a problem. My brother suggested i try Manchester (Sale, to be precise) but im not overly keen. IDGM
My Father-in-laws narrowboat!!! He owes us £26000, so make him an offer, currently for sale at £53000. On the Lancaster Canal in a proper marina at Garstang with year round occupation, no council tax etc. Cheap living. You'd get a loan for that no problem. You could chug to Manchester in, err, two weeks or so!
Adam
Living in the city isnt as cheap as some think, however it is probably cheaper than the equivalent properties in other cities. The thing i love about Newcastle is that everything is so close to each other. Shops, bars, train station etc. Then you have the quayside with its fantastic buildings and bridges. I love match days too when there are 50,000 Newcastle fans walking through the city centre to St James' Park, total manic!
heartagram
Newcastle is awsome like. Something about it always draws you back. Sure its nice to go somewhere sunny, but after a couple of weeks you want good old Newcastle back

Clairey Fairy
Anyone that wants to live down south (not including london and devon) is kinda weird... no offence like!!I'll be planning a long weekend to Newcastle soon too, any particular areas i should be looking at? With regards to actually making the move its kinda one of those moments where if i dont do it now, i'll probs never do it. I quite fancy Scoland, but only so i could own a Highland Cow and call it Ermintrude
