Tigz™
My iphone 1.0 was faulty, it was switching it's self off and locking up now and again. Apple shop at Meadowhall have been fantastic, the technition looked at it (I waited less than 20 minutes for the appointment) and offered to exchange it. Sony over the past 5 years have been that good. At that moment I decided to go straight accross to the O2 shop and upgrade to the 3G phone. I now have a brand new wrapped iPhone 1.0 and 3G, both 8GIG. I don't have 3G on my street but I do every where else I spend my time. But I miss how my 1.0 felt to touch. I am tempted to keep both, I have a few new PAYG sims may just use it for receving texts on, (as I'm online just on my phone these days my texts never come through)But first impressions are good. Lukus 9N
Reading PC Pro today and they had a 3G iPhone Review, there main comment was the battery life, needing charging after 24 hours of light use?
Jon
I charge mine every other night, but I hammer the WiFi at work all day. Can't complain.
Tigz™
I use mine for calls and emails during work.I then use it for my only interweb access when I get home at 5pm.I have to charge it for a hour about 10pm and then charge it throughout the night ready for the next day.Only time its a problem is if I stay at a mates house after a night out.But on holiday, while I had the data turned off and used the phone for light iPod use and only calls and texts I got three days use out of the battery.I used to get less than a day out of every Sony PDA phone I've owned (3 of them)

Putney
I turn wifi and 3g off... only put 3 g on when i need to surf.....battery life is much better than my Old N95....
Lukus 9N
N95 is fairly weak battery life, although the 8GB Version is supposedly alot better. My E65 lasts easily a week without a charge but that's a basic smartphone for calls/texts/emails. Nothing fancy.
Tigz™
My 8GB N95 was used less but only lasted an extra couple of hours.
Lukus 9N
Strange.I believe that if Nokia put the processing power of the iPhone into a Nokia handset it would wipe the floor with the iPhone. The N-Series are so sluggish it's unreal.
nfbr
Strange - Only the 8gb models seem to be having bugs with the 2.0 software, and that goes for both 3g and 1st Gen.
Lukus 9N
Isn't it because they run on an Infineon chipset?
Putney
the only bug i have found is going into the contacts / phone book.... it takes about 3-4 seconds before you can go up or down it.... i have hardly any numbers in it either as have no friends! Tigz™
I've noticed that as well. My iPhone 1.0 was much faster. The more I think about it the more I want to go back to the 1.0.
Jon
The 2.0.1 software came out a few weeks back, and 2.0.2 came out last night - Update through iTunes to fix the bugs.
