At the risk of sounding like a loser that's addicted to tractor engines, I think you'd miss the torque of the 130 TDI if you went back to something as low-powered as a Lupo GTI! I went from a Fabia VRS to the Octavia I've got now and I still miss the surge you get when the turbo spools. I reckon you'd need to be looking at higher-powered hatches like Cooper S' and Clio 182's to enjoy it as much as you do the Fabia, but then you won't have the sensibility of the diesel's MPG.

You buggered off when you were on MSN earlier on so I never spoke to you about it A friend of mine has a house share in Heaton in Newcastle and it is a pretty sweet setup, though its the luck of the draw of who you end up shacking up with I guess. His place is pretty much brand new inside, five bedrooms, plasma's everywhere. It's only £250 or so a month too. Absolute bargain. I'll get the name of the agents/landlord/whatever if you want more details.
