Gemma
as title says, can you use the standard bolts off my Lupo sport alloys to fit golf steel wheels to a Lupo? Edited February 11, 2008 by Gemma

biggaz
Just put one through the hole in the wheel and see if it sits properly, like the angle on the stud fits into the part on the wheel, some are tapered nuts some are flat. Should be ok...i think most vw wheels use tapered style. Also make sure theres plenty of thread sticking through.
lunalupi
I have a feeling you will need steel wheel bolts - there was a thread on this and no-one was quite sure, but i think the final decision was that you need tapered heads for alloys, and rounded ones for steels. But then there are VW alloys....debate was do they use rounded bolts, so you don't need a spare 4 for the spare (which is a steel wheel remember)Can't remember what the outcome was now....sorry, that doesn't really help you there! chris260
The bolts will be ok Gemma, they'll be the same as mine and they're the same as the ones for steelies. Pretty sure of that.
cardaft
Its more the shape of the hole in the wheel than anything. Although you should be fine with them. The bolts on my car for its alloys work perfectly well with 14" steels.
Gemma
thanks people.. i hoped they'd be fine just wanted to make sure fo definite and was easier to ask on here than to go out in the dark ! dailydriver
They should be the same, the spare is a steel wheel after all.Edit:I've got G60 steels on my sport and they are fine with the same bolts that the alloys had.
