  1. I've done a heap of searching and there are loads of posts about lack of interior light when opening the drivers door and no lights on buzzer. I've checked everything mentioned in these posts and looks like it is the microswitch in the door locking mechanism. There was a link in one post to a vw vortex article about same problem on mk 4 Golfs (http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1542461), but can anyone tell me on a Lupo is it really a case of pulling the window regulator etc. before you can replace the door locking module?
  2. Cheers for advice dude. I've taken it to a garage who have plugged the car into their computer and diagnosed as misfire on cylinder 4. The ignition lead on this cylinder seems to be the problem. I've bought a new set of leads from VW, had a look under the bonnet (and don't want to break anything), but is there a technique to removing the leads from the coil pack? Do they have to be twisted then pulled or something?
  3. I've done a bit of searching on here and found out that a few things seem to cause the emissions light to come on and flash. I can't get the car to a garage for a couple of days and need to use it tomorrow, does anyone know if this could cause any damage to the engine? Car is a 1.4 sport btw. Cheers.
  4. Cheers for the replies. Needed to get them off to fit my pop outs.
  5. Anyone got any advice on how to pull these off without damaging them?
  6. Just get a Lupo GTi leather one, much nicer than the solid plastic ones in non-GTi's.
  7. They should be the same, the spare is a steel wheel after all. Edit: I've got G60 steels on my sport and they are fine with the same bolts that the alloys had.
  8. Good luck on the Hindes Road speed humps then mate!!!......
  9. Hello mate, that's my car you've seen, which my wife uses mainly. Glad you like it, I did see yours back in the autumn on Wellesly Road, seen loads of pics of it on here, but seeing it for real, I've gotta say it rocks. There is a cool VW meet I go to in the Pinner/Eastcote area, which I've been going to for years. You should come down one Wednesday dude. It's really an air cooled meet, but most of us drive water pumpers daily and 2 of my mates have also got Lupo's who go down there. More info on our web site - http://www.wolfsburgweedhuggers.com . Hit me up with a PM if you're gonna head down there.
  10. Right click, save picture as...... They are amazing.
  11. i get the same on my Sport, lowere 60mm. It's the anti roll bar hitting on the body / inner arch.
  12. This car is sooooo dope. Gotta get those wheels for my car soon.
  13. They're G60 steels - 6J wide, is it ET25?? Could be totally wrong on that.
  14. My Lupo Sport decided to munch one of the front tyres yesterday after catching the front arch lip and pulling it down, creating a lovely sharp edge to carve up my nearly new Rainsports. I've currently got 195/45/15's on G60 steels with the car lowered 60mm on Weitec springs and shocks. I didn't realise that this setup would cause many problems, but it seems to scrape the arches a fair bit. I guess my choices are drop to 165/55 or Get the front arches rolled Call me a pussy, but I feel a bit nervous dropping the tyre footprint down lower than standard. Even if I did, would it still scrape on the arch lip? Getting the arches rolled - people are saying it's tricky on a lupo, the arch liner can be a problem etc. etc. What would you guys do in my situation??? Cheers in advance.
  15. Bad luck dude. I saw your car parked on a drive way in Harrow earlier this week, just around the corner from my place.
  16. Sorry to sound rude, but this thread is a bit useless if: a) You don't mention which broker / company insures you and b ) What area you live in. also c) If you've been a naughty boy and got points. I'm paying £400 fully comp (with protected NCB) for my Sport (lowered 60mm, G60 wheels, de-bump stripped etc. etc. all declared), I'm 30 and have my fiancee on the policy, car parked on the strasse and live in Harrow town centre. No points on my license or accidents. This is through Brentacre, who I think are pretty cool.
  17. Yep - it's the Weitec 60 mm springs and shocks setup.
  18. Took a look last night and you can see on the near side the ARB hits the inner arch when the suspension is placed under load. I'm surprised if no one else has had this problem too.
  19. This is what the garage told me that I took it to. I mentioned to them when I took the car there that I'd heard that the drive shaft can hit the chassis. The car is only lowered 60mm.
  20. Does anyone else with a lowered car get the anti roll bar hitting on the bottom of the car over bumps? Is there a cure for it or any way of modifying the ARB?
  21. Washed. border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" class="linked-image" />
  22. Spotted on Saturday outside Calamity Comics in Harrow.
  23. Got exactly the same problem on my Sport, only lowered 60mm on standard sized wheels. Thought it could be the drive shafts (not checked this yet) but loads of people running their cars silly low don't seem to get this.
