cardaft
Your not doing very well here You need to push the button in (the one that resets the trip) keep it pressed then turn the key to ignition, and keeping it pressed, wait for three lines to appear, keep it pressed until you trip is restored Im sure that is anyway

SARAHGTI
I normally reset my own service interval light but i put it off for a while and now it wont reset. Does it make a difference how long the light has been on for when it comes to resetting it? Do i need to take it to a VW spesh?
Linz
The service light came on on mine not long after I bought it, I left it for a bit, then when it finally annoyed the hell out of me I tried resetting it using the DIY method - it never worked. I took it to a VW garage and they did it for me there are then, free of charge. Took less than a minute.

I tryed to make it smaller but it wont work so i just reduced the qualtity. Here is my effort at a lesser sized sigWhy wont the grey bit **** off? jon_273
Did you do that in paint? At the bottom right corner of the grey bit there should be a little black square, hover over that and the arrow should appear, click and drag it so all the grey disappears.Let me know if I need to explain it better
